Thank you to Lutheran Development Society of Sacramento. They approved our grant application for $2,700 to be used in our St Marks food pantry. Blessed!

While we were there, we saw Pastor Rob Williamson of St Luke’s, who also was approved for their grant application.

Let's pitch in and help Meals on Wheels of Solano County with this worthy project.

Due to overwhelming community support and continued need, we are extending our Annual Box Fan Drive through the end of June!

Right now, more than 160 of our clients are still in need of a fan to help stay safe and cool during the summer heat. A simple box fan can make a life-changing difference for homebound seniors and adults with disabilities.

If you’d like to help, donations of new box fans can be dropped off at our office throughout June. Together, we can help keep our neighbors safe, comfortable, and cared for this summer. Learn more at www.mealsonwheelssolano.org/fandrive

Members and friends of our church came together to write 47 letters through the Bread for the World program, encouraging our elected officials to support programs that help feed those in need. Together, we raised our voices on behalf of children and families facing hunger, advocating for policies that protect nutrition assistance and provide hope, dignity, and opportunity for vulnerable communities both locally and around the world.

Pentecost

This significant Christian holiday is celebrated exactly 50 days after Easter Sunday (or 49 days if you count inclusively). It commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ, marking the birth of the early Christian church.
