The Mantle is a community organization based in Fairfield County, CT. The organization was founded by Alman Nusrat to serve as a third space in order to create relevant and accommodating sacred safe spaces that facilitate an understanding of Islamic Spirituality. There are millions of Muslims living in the United States. Many of them seeking to understand their religion. Amongst this plethora of s

eekers are thousands of individuals who must deal with clashing cultures and ideologies, misinformation, and most importantly, the understanding of their own spiritual states. Humanity is collectively and consistently searching. We long to be understood, we long to understand. We long for goodness, and we long for meaning. How do we go about living a life that helps us become the best we can be-not just towards our communities and families but towards ourselves? The Mantle seeks to address universal needs by welcoming in seekers- their experiences, and their questions. We conduct discussion, Q&A, and meditation circles, all in an effort to understand the world around us, our hearts, and above all, ultimate Truth. The Mantle works to serve as a sacred safe space. This means that whatever your lifestyle is like, whoever you are; beard or no beard, hijab or no hijab, student or sojourner, we welcome you to exhibit what Islam has to offer.
