As a parent…I’m not dropping my standards! Same rule applied to all my children.
My daughter can’t curse. My daughter can’t listen to explicit lyrics in music. My daughter can’t dance any kind of way! My daughter definitely can’t hang out with kids whose parents would rather be their friend than their parent. My daughter ain’t gone have a boyfriend before her time.
Some parents often say, if you too tough on em’ they’ll sneak and do it, you gotta be their friend. Yes they may try, but you betta have a something for the sneaker (ya heard me) I am her only real friend right now and being to much of a friend compromises her level of respect for me. Them the same parents letting their children have s*x and or phone text s*x with your children. Yes I said that! Too often we hide behind our pulpits, our clothes and homes and reality is here. Life is gone Life but as parents we must set standards for our children.
They don't have business, you better start searching, what you discover will shock you. You know why, because truthfully you ain't parenting. Don't parent everybody else and yours is left unparented. Or better yet, dont be so caught up in your reality that you aint got time for your childrens stuff. They battling some real deal stuff. Parents have become so blinded and overwelmed because somebody failed to teach them how to do Life. Some parents have crushed their kids to capacity and are simply toxic parents who spew toxicity out on all who they come in contact with. Stop degrading your children, respect them and please try to love them. If you can't, stop getting mad when somebody else comes in and replaces you. God sends people to fulfill a job that was meant to do. You can't save the world Craig, but you can save yours.
It’s important to have a healthy balance of love and discipline. Being tough without love produces future parents that don’t administer discipline. Trying to be loving and erasing all moral borders, produces future parents that don’t teach their children how to control themselves (that's why men are hitting women these days and not respecting women as who they are. But wait, because in today's society, for some the roles has switched) Women using their body to get what they want from a man instead of simply being a Lady. That's a curse word today.
My daughter have to play a sport. My daughter has to pray daily. My daughter has to clean. My daughter has to go to church.
You not being to hard, Believe that! Or simply believe what you want. The proof is in the pud’n baby. We turned out okay ( beep beep)
These kids could be great parents if someone took the time to parent them. They have to grow up in a society that is more corrupt when we were growing up. Standards are healthy, it'll teach them how to not stand for anything less. Morals are wonderful, it helps them realize who they are and what they are not. Be that parent and never let anyone make you feel bad because you are just that "A PARENT "
