"THE VICTOR'S RIBBON" | SUNDAY WORSHIP
Praise the Lord, for once again, another blessed Sunday Worship. We thank God for the very opportunity of fellowship, service, and dedication, in which the PMCC 4th Watch - Washington DC/VA brethren worshipped with fervor and zeal, giving thanks and adoration to the Lord. From our Praise & Worship, that was led to us by Sis. Sharon, delivering songs of joy and praise, to our Songs of Praises, both rendered by our dear Sis. Archie Fabros Mercado and the Men's Department, and to our messages given by Elder Joseph Calapati and Sis. Ren D**o.
A message, entitled, "The Victor's Ribbon". This message reminds us of the Christian faith, through the cloud of witnesses, how sin can shatter our faith, perseverance prevailing, and that we must also fix our faith and eyes on Jesus, not the ways of the world. First, we are blessed to have these "cloud of witnesses" because they are those who have gone before us, past believers and saints, as we can look up to them as an example of faith. To our second point, mentioning how sin can slow us down, what defiles us, and can wreak havoc upon our spirituality and relationships. To the third point, which shows that difficulties are always going to be a reality for us, but these are trials that test us and we must continue to persevere. Lastly, we must continue to fix our eyes upon Jesus, walking in the footsteps of Him, so that we are not distracted by the world.
Praise the name of the Lord, and may all the glory and honor be upon His name!
1 Corinthians 9:24-25 (NIV) - "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever."
