We were incredibly blessed on Easter by Bekah Kimberlin, whose beautiful voice lifted our hearts as she sang “King of Kings.” Her performance was truly moving and a powerful reminder of the joy and hope of the resurrection.

We had a wonderful End of the Year Celebration for our Confirmation and Faith Formation students—what an absolutely amazing time for everyone involved!

We enjoyed fun games, followed by pizza, pop, and delicious brownies made by Kristi Peterson. The kids had a blast, and we are so grateful to Dr. Emily Winter for planning such fun and engaging activities.

A heartfelt thank you to our Confirmation teachers—Andrea Bleich, Kristi Peterson, and Sarah Roesler—for their dedication and guidance throughout the year. We also give thanks to Jerry Ebke for leading our 3rd–4th grade Faith Formation, and to all the parents who shared their time and gifts teaching our preschool through 2nd grade students.

We are truly blessed by such a caring and committed church family!

My sweet Jesus,
I’ve known Your name my whole life.
I sang the songs. I bowed my head.
I believed in You—
But now… I understand You.

Not all at once.
Not in a grand moment.
But slowly,
Through years of stumbling,
Through heartbreak,
Through quiet mornings where I felt Your nearness more than I ever had before.

I used to wonder why it had to be the cross.
Why blood had to be spilled.
Why You, sinless and holy, had to take my place.

But now I see—
It was love.
Always love.

You died because we were drowning,
Because nothing we could ever do
Would be enough to fix what sin broke.

You stepped in.
You said, “I’ll take their place.”
And You did.
Willingly. Lovingly. Completely.

I get it now.
You’re not just a part of my faith—
You are my hope.
You are the reason I can face each day,
The strength behind my peace,
The mercy that greets me every morning.

You are the friend who never leaves,
The Savior who never fails,
The Shepherd who came looking for me
Even when I didn’t know I was lost.

My sweet Jesus,
You’re everything.

First Communion is such a beautiful and meaningful milestone in a child’s faith journey. As they come to the Lord’s Table for the very first time, they are reminded that they are deeply loved and fully welcomed into God’s family. With simple trust and joyful hearts, children receive the bread and wine, experiencing the promise of grace in a powerful and personal way. It is a day filled with smiles, reverence, and the comforting reminder that Jesus walks with them always.
