TRUTH is God's most important and valuable attribute. It's who He is! And if we're followers of God and His truth, that's who we will be as well. And if we are living God's truth, we will love one another as He loves.

In Sunday's sermon, Pastor David Ladd spoke about "Light!" Walking in darkness is like being blind and lost. But in the beginning, God said, "Let there be light," and there was. Without Jesus, though, we are in the dark. Choose Jesus, the light, and see!

On Sunday, Pastor David taught that we only make a lasting impact when we remember WHOSE we are. If we’re truly following Jesus, life stops centering on us and starts centering on Him. Our words, actions, and even thoughts belong to Him. Whenever we slip back into “me” or “us,” conflict is inevitable, but when our focus is on Him, peace follows.

What does it mean to live boldly in Christ? It means that the love we have for others is unflappable, the truth we have is unstoppable, and the prayer we have never ends. In this morning's sermon, Pastor David Ladd preached from Luke 2:41-50 when Jesus was 12. Instead of joining his family on the trip home, Jesus stayed in the temple, listening and asking questions, "doing His Father's business." To do our Father's business, it's important that we know God. Really, REALLY know God. And then we need to help others know God.

In this time of fear and uncertainty, we lift up all who are facing the devastation of wildfires.

Bring safety to those in danger, strength to the weary, and comfort to the grieving.

Protect the firefighters, first responders, and volunteers who risk their lives to save others.

Shelter the displaced, restore what has been lost, and surround every heart with hope.

May Your peace calm the chaos, and Your light guide the path toward healing and renewal. Amen/

It's always good to have Scott Lerwick, President of Boise Bible College in church! He led with the question, "Would you rather live a life with success or with significance. Then, using a passage from Ecclesiastes (and others), he led us through what each of those looks like and how we can use both for God's Kingdom!

On Sunday, Pastor David encouraged us to build our spiritual endurance, to persevere. In 2 Timothy 2:1-10, Paul uses several metaphors to show us that endurance is learned, disciplined, and practiced daily rather than achieved by flashes of enthusiasm. Stay the course!
