🧱 CALLED TO BUILD

What an incredible start to our new series through Nehemiah, Called to Build!

This week we discovered that God often accomplishes extraordinary purposes through ordinary people who are willing to answer His call.

From Nehemiah 1:1-9, we learned:

📝 Principles From The Book
* Every believer has a God-given calling.
* God invites us to join Him in building His Kingdom.
* The same God who called Nehemiah is still calling people today.

👤 Portrait Of The Man
* Nehemiah wasn’t a prophet, priest, or king—he was an ordinary servant.
* He refused to excuse sin, even when it was culturally accepted.
* God can make somebody out of nobody when that person is fully surrendered to Him.

❓ Personal Questions For Us
* What has God called you to do?
* Are you willing to do your part?
* Will you commit to that calling today?

Nehemiah’s story reminds us that you don’t have to be extraordinary to be used by God—you simply have to be available.

We’re excited to continue this journey next Sunday as we discover more from Nehemiah’s incredible example of faith and leadership.

What a wonderful service yesterday! We love seeing so many of our young people serving the Lord with their gifts! It’s always such a blessing to get to worship the Lord together!

Don't forget out midweek service will still meet in the Auditorium this week from 6-7pm! WE invite you to join us for family worship together! All kids k5 and up will sit with their families in the service. We will still have nursery available for pre-school age children on the 2nd floor!

Heart Checkup❤️‍🩹
Matthew 15

This Sunday we asked a simple but serious question:
Is your heart close to God?

In Matthew 15:8, Jesus said, “This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth… but their heart is far from me.”

That means it is possible to look close to God on the outside and still be far from God on the inside.

We were challenged to examine:
❤️‍🩹What We Prioritize
What you prioritize will always reveal what you truly value.

❤️‍🩹What We Produce
What comes out of your life reveals what is going on in your heart.

❤️‍🩹What We Pursue
Who you worship is not shown by what you claim, but by what you chase.

The goal is not just to do the right things, say the right words, or look the right way. The goal is to have a heart that truly walks with God.

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." (John 15:13)

Owning and reading Scripture isn't legal everywhere. So we thank the men and women who gave their lives, protecting our freedom to do so today.

Last week we celebrated our end of the year Awana Awards Ceremony! We want to say thank you to all our Awana Leaders for making this year possible! We had our largest year of Awana yet! We appreciate all the parents that have allowed us the opportunity to minister to your children this year!

Join us this evening for Family Worship in the auditorium at 6pm! All kids k5 and up will be in the service with their family throughout the summer! Following our Bible Study this evening we will have Choir Rehearsal as normal! We hope to see you this evening!

“Is Serving God Worth It?”
Psalm 73

Psalm 73 reminds us that serving God is worth it, even when it feels like the wicked are winning.

This week we saw:
➡️The Danger of Comparison ⚠️
Comparison produces envy, pride, and discouragement.

➡️The Deception of Exaggeration 😔
The wicked are not really at peace, not really satisfied, and not really winning.

➡️The Delight of Seeking God 🙏
God’s presence is better than prosperity, His strength is better than our ability, and His nearness is better than the world’s applause.

When Asaph got into the presence of God, his perspective changed. Serving God is worth it because God Himself is our greatest reward.

“Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.”Psalm 73:25
