One of my assignments is to service in the local correctional facility. I attend sacrament meeting that happens in two locations at the prison. The men who attend these meeting want to be there. Nobody makes them come. They have to sign up and get special permission to attend. Also another interesting fact is that electronics aren’t allowed in the prison. All the manuals, scriptures, conference talks, hymn books have to be a printed, hard copy. They even have to use DVDs of General Conference and Stake Conference. Jesus is there too. In fact, He never leaves there.

Our service missionary purpose is to "help others come unto Christ by serving with loving kindness as the Savior would. Minister in His name to the one through the power of the Holy Ghost and live as an example of faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, covenant keeping with God, and enduring to the end."
