Ephraim Utah Temple Public Open House

We invite everyone—members of the Church, local residents, and those interested in learning more about the temple—to join us for this special occasion.

Tour Details

The open house will feature a guided walking tour lasting approximately 45 minutes. Following the tour, representatives from the Church will be available to answer any questions you may have.

Parking: Onsite parking is available.
Attire: While you are welcome to attend as you are, we suggest business casual clothing and comfortable shoes, as the tour involves walking.
FamilyFriendly: All ages are encouraged to attend, and restrooms and drinking fountains will be available for your convenience.

Temples are sacred spaces designed to help individuals feel closer to God and His Son, Jesus Christ. After the temple's dedication, access will be limited to Church members. This open house offers a rare opportunity for all to explore this sacred house of the Lord and appreciate its beautiful surroundings.

The Ephraim Utah Temple, recently completed, stands at 400 East 200 North, Ephraim, Utah 84627. With its construction journey officially announced on May 1, 2021, this revered site represents a significant addition to the area’s spiritual fabric. Groundbreaking occurred on August 27, 2022, led by Prophet Russell M. Nelson, who has deep familial ties to Ephraim. In his remarks, he reflected on his roots, noting, "My dear mother was born in Ephraim, not far from this very temple site," expressing gratitude for those who laid the foundation of faith.

The Ephraim Utah Temple spans an impressive 39,000 square feet, set on 9.16 acres of land at an elevation of 5,567 feet. Its architectural features include two end towers, distinguishing it from other Temples. Notably, it does not feature a gold-leafed Angel Moroni Statue, which is common in many other designs.

Inside, the Temple houses four instruction rooms, each capable of seating 30 individuals, as well as three sealing rooms and a single baptistry.

The Ephraim Utah Temple will be the 27th Temple in Utah and the second in Sanpete County, joining the Manti Utah Temple. The rendering of the Temple was made public on March 4, 2022, generating excitement and anticipation within the local community.
