Is it easier for you to spend when you know that you have an abundance? If you knew you had a million dollars in the bank would it be easier to spend than if you knew that you only had one hundred dollars as of the end of last month? When you know you've got an abundance of life in Christ, it’s a lot easier to spend your life for others. When you allow Him to work into your life what only He can work, then it frees you to spend your life for other people. That’s the kind of hard work that results in joy - spending a life that God's given to you to love people.

ADOPT-A-PROP
Sunday, July 5

Help bring VBS to life this summer by adopting a prop project! We are looking for volunteers to take home simple craft and decoration projects that will help transform our church for VBS week. Each prop bag will include supplies and instructions so you can work on it at your own pace from home.

Completed projects can be returned to the Welcome Center by July 5th. This is a fun and easy way for individuals, families, and children to be part of the VBS excitement and help create a welcoming space where kids can learn about Jesus.

BORNE UP ON EAGLES' WINGS

The Ten Words, those Ten Commandments, were soon to be given to the people of the Exodus at Sinai. The Lord led them to the foot of Mount Sinai, and before Moses climbed its heights to receive these Ten Words, the Lord spoke first to Moses and then to the people. He is ever the God who speaks, who hears, who listens, who makes the unholy become holy—indeed, His "treasured possession!"

In the Hebrew, "treasured possession" is a unique word, segoulah. As we walk through the wilderness of life toward our Promised Land, what it means to be the Lord's segoulah is that we have His eagle's wings, His Word and Sacraments, His holy gifts. These holy gifts are our joy. We cherish that we are cherished! Stay tuned for more in the sermon! This text is a gold mine of strength for you, His segoulah!
