OUR PURPOSE: Seaside Center for Spiritual Living is a loving, supportive, inclusive community, which inspires all to experience their spiritual unfoldment, healing and growth through the principles of Science of Mind. Our spiritual family gratefully celebrates the abundance of life and honors each individual's unity with God. Our joy is to express Spirit through service, making a difference in the

lives of all those we touch. Seaside Center for Spiritual Living is dedicated to loving, caring for, and welcoming all seekers of Truth who reach out to know God. This spiritual community honors the inherent goodness and divinity in all humanity, appreciating the rich diversity in the multi-faceted tapestry of our spiritual family. Healing takes place here, for this is a home we come to in times of joy or sorrow, laugher or tears. There is no judgment— only the divine embrace. At Seaside, understanding and support are the common expressions of love. We are a growing, dynamic, spiritual community in which like minds come together to pray and to play. Many say that finding Seaside is like coming home. Spiritual principles are joyfully practiced and honored. And children are celebrated, as reflected in our stellar youth programs. Seaside is a place of beauty and of renewal. We are the blessed stewards of holy ground. People feel the Presence here and know they are embraced in Love. OUR VISION is to inspire people to live their Divinity. Seaside is flourishing with classes and spiritual support at our campus and online. We nurture and support small groups to enhance everyone’s sense of belonging and connectedness. In order to continue this work, we intend to ensure that resources are ever available to fulfill our mission. You can support our vision by donating at www.seasidecenter.org/donate/

Your Unique Delivery

While we have the gift of life, it seems to me the only tragedy is to allow part of us to die - whether it is our spirit, our creativity or our glorious uniqueness. – Gilda Radner

An honorable warrior went to a temple to find inner peace. Coming upon the spiritual leader in tranquil contemplation filled the warrior with emotion. He knew he’d fought courageously and honorably throughout his time, yet he was distraught to sense he would never have the presence of peace as did the teacher who stood before him.

As the day passed and the night rose, the great warrior felt melancholy. When the two stood in the middle of the moonlit courtyard, the humble teacher pointed to the exquisite moon and said, “As the moon crosses the heavens the sun will rise, much brighter, lighting up the sky and landscape in entirely different ways. I never heard the moon grumbling, how come I’m not as bright as the sun, I must be less than.” The sun and the moon are different, each with its own unique gifts. You must not compare yourself to others. Trusting your uniqueness challenges you to leave yourself vulnerable. We are all different people, expressing in our own unique ways to make the world a better place. Is that not what matters?

Spiritual Contemplation: Where do you find you're comparing yourself to others? What is your purpose in the world? How is your delivery style uniquely you? Can you love that about yourself?

Affirmation: I am happy to be on purpose delivering my gift in my unique way!

You Be You!

Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be, and embracing who we actually are. – Brene Brown

Embracing authenticity is a core practice of living a wholehearted life. You cannot be an integrated whole without embracing and expressing the totality of who you are. The word authenticity has been overused in recent years and sometimes it seems to have lost its true meaning. Yet, the core message is critical in moving forward on your path. You are here to express your uniqueness in everything you do.

An easy way to tell if you are not being authentic is to notice if you shift who you are to fit someone else’s idea of what’s right. Maybe it’s just holding back an opinion in conversation with a friend or conceding to eating at a place you don’t like. It is often seen in small choices you make against yourself and at some point, you wake up to the fact that you are no longer being yourself. This is the time to pause, take a deep breath and recommit to being the truest expression of yourself. It takes some courage and practice, but it is worth it! Your authentic self is a gift to the world and you have come into this life to give it!

Spiritual Contemplation: Notice when you are trying to please someone else or catch yourself worrying about what someone else thinks. Shift back to your authentic self and note how you could have handled those situations differently.

Affirmation: I am the authentic expression of me!

It’s In Everything

Children are happy because they don't have a file in their minds called "All the Things That Could Go Wrong.” – Marianne Williamson

Young ones naturally love God. They are intimate with this life force that is not an intellectual conception. They feel it, know it, and express life with a passion. Their essence commands the attention of the room without even trying. All eyes are on the children, not because they are supposed to be but because of something they are that touches your heart. It is only as the young ones grow and are taught what God is, that their connection to Spirit moves from what their heart knows to be true to their head. They fully learn what religion is, forgetting what the real spiritual connection to the Infinite feels like.Learning to be more self-conscious of what’s outside of them, they forget to trust what’s inside, losing contact in their attempts to sync with this world. They are systematically guided “for their protection” away from their Divine link by dishonoring its relevance.

Allow the young master in your world to intimately awaken the innocent love you once had for the wonderful life you’ve been given and for how you saw God in everything without ever having to call it that.

Spiritual Contemplation: Have you gotten so busy doing life that you have forgotten that you are Life expressing? Look out with childlike wonder once again and see everything sparkle with God.

Affirmation: I am dazzled and in love with God as my life!

Becoming Your True Self

I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples. – Mother Teresa

Often, people will come to me with a deep desire to do something beneficial for the world. They want to help and make a change that makes a difference. A common theme is a feeling of overwhelm and frustration over their inability to do anything that would make a difference. I’ve even heard the idea that some want to make a lot of money just so they can do something good with it. It’s a worthy impulse in a misguided way.

The best way we can serve the world is to allow ourselves to become fully expressed in our own uniqueness. Doing our own healing to let go of past wounds and feelings of unworthiness will allow each of us to show up in our wholeness and power. When we live from that place, we can direct our creative energy in positive ways both big and small. As we become more of our true self, using our unique voice to speak words of peace, compassion, and love, we inspire others to do the same. As each person is given permissifts and it unfolds across the world. Let us each be the spark that brightens the world right where we stand.

Spiritual Contemplation: In what ways are you holding yourself back from expressing your true self? What fears or hurts need to be released to do this? Trust the Divine that created you knew what it was doing and see if you can open a bit more to share your light with the world.

Affirmation: I am a light of love shining in the darkness!
