Shepherd Hills Bible Church Shepherd Hills Bible Church is a new church plant in Encampment, situated in the Platte Valley of southeastern Wyoming.

Our mission is to serve the wonderful communities of Platte Valley and to disciple families as we teach scripture verse by verse.

When you find yourself in the middle of a distorted theology that prioritizes an “authoritative covering” outside of that which God has designed—Scripture alone—which is meant to guide families and local churches (and not the interpretation of Scripture through a self-appointed “spiritual authority”), the unacceptable sin in the eyes of those providing that “covering” is taking a step back or disagreeing. The unfortunate result is broken families and broken local churches left in its wake. If we as leaders, whether pastors or parents of adult children, follow the example of Jesus and seek to live in a way that reflects His life and ministry—humbling ourselves and serving—so many of these stories of spiritual abuse would decrease greatly.
