The world says, “Follow your heart.”

God says, “Guard your heart.” — Proverbs 4:23

The world says, “Do whatever makes you happy.”

God says, “Seek first the kingdom of God.” — Matthew 6:33

The world says, “Get even.”

God says, “Forgive.” — Ephesians 4:32

The world says, “Everyone is doing it.”

God says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world.” — Romans 12:2

What is popular isn’t always right.

What feels normal isn’t always holy.

What everyone approves of isn’t necessarily what God approves of.

Truth isn’t determined by majority vote.

So before you make a decision, ask:

“What does God’s Word say?”

Before you follow the crowd, ask:

“Where is this leading me?”

Before you compromise your convictions, ask:

“Is this pleasing to God?”

So open your Bible.

Know the Word.

Meditate on it.

Live it.

Let it correct you.

Let it challenge you.

Let it comfort you.

Let it shape your decisions.

Because you cannot be led by a Word you never spend time in.

Let Scripture be your compass.
Let Jesus be your example.
Let the Holy Spirit be your guide.

And when you don’t know which way to go,

go back to the Word.
