Congratulations, Father Sam!

Last Sunday, Bishop Battersby joined us at St. Francis of Assisi Parish to officially install Father Sam as our pastor. Following the Mass, parishioners gathered in the Parish Hall to celebrate this special occasion and welcome him in his new role. May God continue to bless his leadership as he guides our faith community with wisdom, compassion, and love. We are so grateful to have you, Father Sam!

You're invited! Installation Mass and Potluck

Bishop Battersby will be here this Sunday, June 14, at the 10:30am Mass to formally install Father Sam as Pastor of our parish. Father Sam has faithfully served our parish as parochial administrator until now. All are invited to join us for this celebration and installation!

Following Mass, everyone is invited to a potluck luncheon in the Parish Hall. Please bring a dish to pass. The Parish Hall will be open before Mass for anyone wishing to drop off their dish. Even if you don't plan to attend the installation Mass, please come back to celebrate at the potluck luncheon.

All are invited to join us for a Pentecost Picnic celebration this Sunday, May 24, beginning at 11:30am! Please bring a dish to pass and stay (or come back) for lunch, refreshments, and cake — yes, cake… It’s the Church’s birthday!

After lunch, stick around to play in or cheer on a friendly game of kickball. We hope you can join us for this fun parish celebration!

Help Needed! Help is needed in setting up for the picnic between the Sunday morning Masses (9:30 to 10:30 am). If available, please come to the Parish Hall and check in with Chuck or Joan Foley. They would appreciate the help!

Stop by Father Sam's garage next week for the Annual "Hanging Basket Sale" on Tuesday, May 5th, and Wednesday, May 6th, from 9am to 6pm. Plants are $30 each and support Youth Trips, including Adventure Camp and Mission Trip.

Join Us for Holy Week at St. Francis🕊✝

Holy Week is the most sacred time of the Church’s year. This week of great reverence and reflection spans the final eight days of Jesus’ life—from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. We remember and walk with Jesus through His triumphant entry into Jerusalem, as He celebrates the Last Supper, to His suffering, death, and Resurrection. These are the events through which Jesus Christ gave His life for each one of us and rose again in victory over sin and death.

Join us for an evening of penance and prayer this Thursday, March 12, at 7pm. Four priests from neighboring parishes will be available to hear confessions, continuing until all confessions are done. Eucharistic Adoration will take place throughout the evening as well.

All are invited to come and prepare your hearts for Easter.

All are welcome to join us for our upcoming Parish Mission, Church on Fire, coming up March 22-24 from 6–8pm in the church. This special three-night event is a wonderful opportunity for spiritual renewal, reflection, and growth as a parish community. Lent is a time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving—a season that invites us to slow down, reflect, and prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter to come. On Ash Wednesday, we are reminded that life is a gift and that now is the time to turn more fully toward God and grow in faith.
