Sunday at Schapville
This Sunday we leave August and begin September. On this first Sunday we gather at the Lord’s table, communion will be served in the traditional manner.
We will come together at 9:15 when there will be warm coffee and warm conversation. Please bring a plate to share for our time of fellowship. The Choir will rehearse at that time, all our welcome to join!
At 10:00 we come together to hear God’s word for us this day in our sanctuary. We will be returning to Paul’s letter to the Romans, chapter 13:8-14. We will consider what love looks like. We will follow that time of thoughtful consideration with the grace of the Lord’s Table. All are welcome to the table for the feast He has prepared for us.
Looking forward to worshiping with you!
Blessings,
The Worship Team and Pastor Dottie

Dear Ones,
As another week comes to a close, we gather on Sunday to breathe deeply, shake off the dust of our days, and remember the God who meets us right where we are. Beginning at 9:15, the coffee will be warm and the conversations easy; a simple, grace filled space to settle in, reconnect, and let your spirit rest.
At 9:30, during our All Church Sunday School, we’ll step into one of Scripture’s most arresting moments: a bush that burned but was not consumed. In Exodus 3:1–6, Moses discovers that even in the wilderness, God’s presence blazes with purpose, calling us by name and inviting us into holy ground.
Then at 10:00, we enter the sanctuary for worship and prayer. Together we will sing, lift our hearts, and listen for the Word God has prepared for us; a Word that steadies us, renews us, and sends us back into the world with hope.
We look forward to worshiping with you, sharing fellowship, and standing together before the God who still speaks from burning bushes.

Beloved in Christ,
This Sunday at Schapville we come to the joyful close of our Summer Series, “Do We Believe That?” Together we will gather up all the threads we’ve explored over these past weeks and listen for how God is weaving them into a vision for where we are being led next. It is a moment to remember, to reflect, and to open ourselves again to the Spirit’s gentle guidance.
We invite you to begin the morning in a spirit of grace and connection. At 9:15, the coffee will be warm and the conversations easy—an unhurried space to greet one another, share stories, and enjoy the fellowship that strengthens us. During that same time, the choir will gather, welcoming any voices who feel called to join in the gift of song.
At 10:00, we will enter the sanctuary and turn our hearts toward God’s Word. Together we will listen for what the Spirit is saying to us as a community and discern how these summer teachings shape our lives, our choices, and our hope.
It is a time to be encouraged, challenged, and reminded that God continues to lead us with love and purpose.
We look forward to worshiping with you, lifting our voices, opening our hearts, and standing together in the grace that holds us.
Blessings, The Worship Team & Pastor Dottie

Sunday at Schapville
Beloved in Christ,
This Homecoming Sunday is one of those days when Schapville feels like it breathes a little deeper — when memory, joy, and the beauty of God’s presence gather us in like family. As we come together in Fellowship Hall at 10:00 AM, we’ll enter a time of worship that invites us to see again: to notice the beauty around us, to remember the beauty God has placed within us, and to receive that beauty as a gift meant to lift our spirits and renew our hope.
After worship, we’ll continue the celebration with a shared meal — Dan is graciously providing sausages and condiments, and you’re invited to bring a salad or dessert to add to the table. It will be the kind of lunch where stories rise easily, laughter echoes, and old friendships feel new again.
We’ll walk down memory lane together, hear updates from our Session Elders, and look with expectation toward the future God is shaping for us. It will be a day of gratitude, connection, and joy — a day to remember who we are and whose we are.

Come home. Come rejoice. Come be renewed.

Blessings,
The Worship Team and Pastor Dottie

Dear Friends,
We look forward to another Sunday of worshiping together. This week we continue in our sermon series, “Do We Believe That?”—a journey of honest reflection and a time of renewing faith. This week our Scripture is Matthew 5:9, we will think about what it means to be a peacemaker and Jesus’ call to each of us to a path of peacemaking. A peace that passes all understanding, not the absence of war but Shalom.
Join us for coffee at 9:15, to catch up with one another and enjoy a cup of coffee. A time, that is unhurried where thoughts of the future and memories of the past are shared, and the gentle kindness of community recalls that God often speaks through the people beside us.
If you enjoy singing, during that same time, the choir will gather in joy, to sing hymns of praise with room for all voices to join in the ministry of song.
At 10:00, we will enter the sanctuary to do those things that embody the body of Christ: prayer, praise, and worship. Together we will lift our hearts, open our spirits to God’s Spirit’s as it leads, and listen for the Word God has prepared—a Word that calls us to see that peacemaking is more than seeking peace.
We look forward to being with you, sharing a time of fellowship, coming together as the body of Christ for worship, and remembering again the hope that shapes, strengthens, and sustains our lives.
Blessings, The Worship Team and Pastor Dottie
