Sunday at Schapville
Dear Friends,
As we step toward another Lord’s Day, we invite you to pause with us—slow down, breathe deeply, and enter the gift of community.
At 9:15, the coffee will be ready and the conversations unhurried. It’s a simple space to reconnect, to share stories from the week, and to remember that faith grows in fellowship. It is the first Sunday and so you are invited to bring a dish to share. During that same time, the choir will gather, and they would be delighted to welcome any voices who wish to join them in song.
At 10:00, we will enter the sanctuary and turn our attention to Romans 4:13–25. Together we’ll reflect on the kind of faith that trusts God’s promises even when the path ahead feels uncertain faith that Abraham carried, and faith that still shapes us today.
We will also come to the Lord’s Table. All who believe in Jesus Christ are welcome at the feast he has prepared, a feast of grace, remembrance, and hope.
We look forward to sharing this morning with you—conversation, worship, communion, and the living Word that continues to meet us and form us.
Blessings,
The Worship Team and Pastor Dottie

Dear Friends,
This Sunday we step into the mystery and beauty of Trinity Sunday, a day when the church pauses to wonder at the God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—Three in One, drawing us into divine life and love.
Our morning begins in Fellowship Hall at 9:00, where the coffee will be warm and the conversations easy. It’s a simple, grace filled moment to reconnect, share stories, and enjoy one another’s company. During that same time, the choir will be gathering, and they would be delighted to welcome any voices who wish to join them in song.
At 9:30, we’ll remain in Fellowship Hall for our All Church Sunday School, turning to Matthew 28:16–20. As we listen again to the Great Commission, we’ll reflect on what it means to be sent—baptizing, teaching, and living in the promise that Christ is with us always.
Then at 10:00, we will enter the sanctuary and journey all the way back to the beginning. In Genesis 1:1–2:4, we’ll hear the story of creation spoken into being—light from darkness, order from chaos, life from the breath of God. On this Trinity Sunday, we’ll listen for the harmony of Father, Son, and Spirit woven through the very first words of Scripture.
We look forward to gathering with you—sharing fellowship, lifting our voices, and opening our hearts to the Word God has for us this week.
Blessings,
The Worship Team and Pastor Dottie

A Joyful Pentecost Sunday at Schapville ✝️
Dear Friends,
This weekend holds a beautiful mix of celebration and remembrance for us as a church family. On Sunday we gather to rejoice in the gift of the Holy Spirit—the breath of God that gives life to the Church and ignites our faith. Pentecost is often called the Church’s birthday, so yes, there will be birthday cake as we celebrate together. Remember to wear something red.

Our morning begins at 9:15 with coffee, conversation, and the simple joy of being together. Whether you’re reconnecting with familiar faces or meeting someone new, it’s a gentle way to ease into the day.

At 10:00, we enter the sanctuary to worship and to hear the story of Pentecost from Acts 2:1–21—a story of wind and fire, courage and calling, and a God who still moves among us with power and tenderness.

As we celebrate the Spirit’s presence, we will also pause on this Memorial Day weekend to honor those who have served our nation with courage and sacrifice. It is a sacred privilege to hold both gratitude and remembrance in the same hour of worship.
We will share in Communion, trusting that Christ meets us at his table with grace enough for all.

Everyone is welcome.
If your weekend is full, we hope you can still carve out a little space to join us. Sometimes the Spirit meets us most clearly when we step away from the rush and gather with God’s people.

Blessings,
The Worship Team and Pastor Dottie

Pentecost Blessings. This is Sunday May 24th, the birthday of the Church and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Our text this week is Acts 2:1-21 and we will learn about the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:4b, “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.

Dear Friends,
As a new week unfolds, we hope you’ll pause with us this Sunday for a morning of connection, worship, and wonder.

At 9:15, the coffee will be hot and the conversations easy—a simple space to catch up, laugh, and share life together. During that same time, the choir will be gathering, and they would be delighted to have you join them in song.

Then at 10:00, we will enter the sanctuary and turn our hearts toward Acts 1:1–11. In this moment between Jesus’ ascension and the Spirit’s coming, we’ll reflect on that timeless question: What’s next? What does it mean for us—here and now—to be Christ’s witnesses, carried by his promise and empowered by his presence?
We look forward to worshiping with you, sharing fellowship, and listening together for the Word God has for us.

Blessings,
The Worship Team and Pastor Dottie

Sunday at Schapville, A Mother’s Day Gathering of Hope

Friends,
This Sunday, May 10, we gather with gratitude for all the godly women—mothers, grandmothers, mentors, and friends—whose faith has shaped our own. Happy Mother’s Day to each one who has nurtured, prayed, encouraged, and walked beside us in Christ’s love.
Come early and settle into the warmth of community:

• Coffee & Conversation
Arrive before worship to reconnect with familiar faces or share a quiet moment with someone new. These small conversations often become the threads that hold our church family together.

At 10:00 am, we’ll enter the sanctuary for a time of worship centered on the call to “Be prepared to give…the reason for the hope that you have.”
Our Scripture, 1 Peter 3:13–22, invites us to consider how we speak about our faith with gentleness, courage, and authenticity.

This week’s message will be interactive—a chance to practice what Peter encourages. You’ll be able to role play inviting someone to church, or you may offer questions and reflections as we explore what faithful witness looks like in everyday life. It will be a morning of learning, laughter, and shared discovery.
We look forward to gathering with you and sharing God’s Word of hope.

Blessings,
The Worship Team and Pastor Dottie
