Ash Wednesday Service!

Dear Friends,

You are warmly invited to join us for a special Ash Wednesday service, where we will gather for prayer, scripture, reflection, and the imposition of ashes as we begin the holy season of Lent. This year, we are grateful to worship together in a joint service with our sisters and brothers in Christ from the AME Zion Church, bearing witness to our shared faith and unity in Christ.

Ash Wednesday marks the start of a forty-day journey toward Easter—a season set apart for repentance, renewal, and returning our hearts to God. The ashes, placed gently on our foreheads, remind us of both our mortality and God’s mercy. They are a visible sign of our need for grace and a powerful reminder that even from dust, God brings new life.

This service offers a sacred pause in the midst of busy lives—a chance to name our frailty, to let go of what weighs us down, and to open ourselves anew to God’s transforming love. Whether you come feeling strong or weary, certain or searching, you are welcome.
