The Gospel: Our Access to God

Prayer isn’t possible because we’re good enough or spiritual enough.

Prayer is possible because Jesus made the way.

“You who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” — Ephesians 2:13

Jesus didn’t simply give us access to God someday in heaven. Through Him, we can draw near to the Father today and learn to live every part of our lives in fellowship with Him.

Christ brought you near. Now live near.

🙏 NEW SERMON SERIES — TEACH US TO PRAY

Before we learn how to pray, we need to understand why we can pray at all.

Scripture gives us an incredible invitation:

God hears us.
Jesus understands us.
Grace invites us near.

Prayer isn't about finding the perfect words or convincing a distant God to listen. Because of Jesus, we have been invited to “come boldly to the throne of grace” and find mercy and grace in our time of need.

Maybe the first lesson we need to learn about prayer is simply this:

Come near.

Join us this Sunday as we begin Teach Us to Pray with Week 1: The God Who Hears.

The world says greatness means being recognized. Jesus says greatness means becoming a servant.

As we conclude our What Matters Most series, we will see that Jesus did not merely command us to serve—He first served us by giving His life as a ransom for sinners.

Because the Servant-King has loved, served, and saved us, we can show His love through our actions.

Jesus has entrusted His church with a message the world desperately needs.

We are not called to save people—only God can do that. We are called to faithfully point them to the Savior through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Listen carefully. Love genuinely. Speak clearly. Respond gently. Trust God completely.

Until Jesus returns, we are His witnesses.
