Yes Lord!
My teenager came home after a long day, and we were talking when I asked him, “Have you talked to the Lord today, son?”
“No.”
His answer saddened my heart because relationship with Jesus is the most important thing to combat all that this world is throwing at our kids.
Pressure, temptation, noise, fear. Confusion, comparisons, loneliness.
And of all the hours he had today, not once did my boy stop and say, “Jesus, I need You.”
God, how many of our kids are going through their days trying to carry everything themselves?
How many have forgotten they can talk to You?
How many know about Your Son but don’t really know what it means to need Him?
So tonight, I’m praying.
I'm crying out with arms raised.
Lord, revive our children.
Wake something up in them that this world cannot satisfy.
Give them a hunger for Your Word and a desire for Your presence.
Make prayer more natural to them than scrolling their phones.
When they’re afraid, let them run to You.
When they’re hurting, let them talk to You.
When they’re tempted, let them see Your way out.
When they don’t know what to do or say, let them simply speak your name.
And Jesus, please don’t let us as parents become so distracted by trying to make our kids successful, happy, comfortable and safe that we forget the one thing they need most.
They need You.
Revive our homes.
Revive our churches.
Revive our teenagers.
Give them hearts that are absolutely on fire for You.
And Lord… please start with mine.
