When we take time to listen for God’s instructions, He'll lead us with wisdom. It's when we say “yes” to everything & everyone without checking with Jesus first, that we become exhausted and stressed. Set time aside each day to enjoy His presence, reexamine your priorities and get His perspective.

We can go for quite a while with a little bit of watering but after a while we begin to show how parched we really are. We become irritable, easily frustrated, angered, and overwhelmed. When we see these warning signs, we need to call upon the Lord to send rain. It's through crying out to God that the Lord will provide for us. We can know His soul-satisfying peace only if we ask for it.

If you’ve ever taken the hand of a toddler, you’ll know they’re relying on you for their balance. If they stumble, you can easily steady them. And in the same way, when we commit ourselves to God, we are essentially placing our hands in His while He gives us confidence to keep walking.

In order to see what's right in front of us, we have to take our eyes off ourselves & fix them on Jesus. It's only when we surrender our fear of being alone & unloved that we remember how near He is. Lifting our burdens, drawing us close and surrounding us with His peace.
