Good morning, Dear Saints of All Saints; I pray you are well.
I am delighted to share some exciting good news from last Sunday’s wonderful meeting of All Saints’ Bishop’s Committee, far and away the most productive I have encountered in the past four years. In a single hour, this is what your Bishop’s Committee accomplished:
Finalized and authorized a tentative policy, guidelines and contract for rentals of church properties for special events;
Authorized hiring a Sexton one day/week for routine, weekly cleaning of church, offices, restrooms and parish hall (NOTE: This is not in lieu of us all picking up after ourselves, and helping clean as we are able. As the use of our property by outside non-profits and family and community groups expands, we really need professional help to maintain our property and hospitable welcome new friends and partners);
Authorized hiring a Childcare & Nursery provider for the Sunday Eucharist; an
Endorsed the Choral Scholars Fund which brought Ava and Vienna to us, thanks to the work, initiative and financial support of Flora, Lisa & Max.

CONGRATULATIONS to JALEN & Family: Grandparents Lisa & Juan, parents Jorge & Stephanie, uncles Matthew & Jonathan, and Godparents Juan & Vanessa. What a JOY and delight it was to formally welcome Jalen into the Body of Christ and celebrate his Baptism as Christ's own forever. Thanks to Jalen’s family for beautifully and generously feeding us all after the Baptism & Eucharist!
A highlight of the Baptism liturgy was the marvelous music provided by our Choral Scholars Ava (who served as violinist as well) & Vienna (who served as bass guitarist as well), Althea, Eduardo (on the piano), Flora, Mike & Sam: Thank you all for your splendid, prayerful gift of music for this special liturgy.

CONGRATULATIONS to The Rev. Lorenzo Sias, Jr. our sometime fieldwork seminarian on his ordination to the Sacred Order of Deacons last Saturday, August 15th, the Feast of St. Mary the Virgin at the Cathedral of St. John in Albuquerque. Thank you to Corrine & Russell and our other sometime fieldwork seminarian Bob for joining us for this celebration. (God-willing, next year we will be there for Bob as well.) Deacon Lorenzo is now serving at St. Christopher’s, our neighboring congregation here on the eastside, with Fr. Alex Reyes and Deacon Sondra
