The Zion's Youth Group and organizer, Katie, would like to acknowledge those who helped with the preparation, and break down for yesterday's successful craft/vendor fair.

This event is to help raise funds for the Youth Group for their future activities.

Much appreciation to: Jodi, Margaret, Karen, Paul, Maria, Nelson, Traci, Karen, Margaret, Jean, and the Youth Group!

Today during our Sunday service, the annual Backpack Blessing was held. Students brought their backpacks to church, and Pastor recited this prayer:

"O God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; please bless ☩ these backpacks and the
items that these student will carry in them.

Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we pray that you would be with these children as they return
to school. Help them as they study and learn new things; give them good
relationships with their teachers; and let them enjoy time with their fellow
students.

Protect them and their belongs during classes and as they travel to and from
school. Give them all the other things they will need to have an enjoyable and
productive school year. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.".

Afterwards, congregation members enjoyed fellowship and treats at the Coffee Hour!

In just a half-hour, at 11 A.M., our doors will open for the Vendor Fair!

Two rooms full of crafts an vendors, plus hot dogs will be available for sale! Proceeds will benefit our Youth Group!

Although today's Breaking Bread event had to relocate to indoors to Zion Lutheran Church due to the weather, it did not dampen our wonderful volunteers enthusiasm to serve pick-up lunch to our visitors 💗

The Breaking Bread events are sponsored by the outreach ministry of local Egg Harbor City churches: Macedonia Baptist Church
Saint Paul C M E, and Zion Lutheran Church.

The next Breaking Bread event - sponsored by the outreach ministry of local Egg Harbor City churches: Macedonia Baptist Church
Saint Paul C M E, and Zion Lutheran Church - for those in need will be held this SATURDAY, AUGUST 22nd.

The event has been moved to Zion Lutheran Church instead at Lincoln Park due to the pending inclement weather forecast.

Lunch pick-up will be available from
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

To our Volunteers - Set up begins
at 10:15 p.m.

We will be serving salads, sandwiches and snacks as always.
