Dolly Parton as Theologian?

What if some of the deepest theological questions aren’t only found in sermons, hymns, and theology books—but also in the songs of Dolly Parton?

Join us for a 3-part series as we explore Dolly Parton as a theologian of everyday life. We’ll listen to and reflect on some of Dolly’s songs, exploring themes of grace, love, suffering, hope, forgiveness, human dignity, faith, and redemption.

No expertise required. Just bring your curiosity, your favorite Dolly song, and an openness to conversation.

Come listen. Come question. Come experience God. Because sometimes theology is hiding in places we least expect it.

Saturday morning Breakfast was a big hit with the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary. Donna, Debbie and Lynn prepared and served breakfast. At St. John's, we are grateful for the women of the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary.

Ok, people, this one you don’t want to miss. The pancakes are out of this world, talk about melt in your mouth. The sausage is delicious, beyond words, and the service is better than you’ll find at any restaurant!

Yes, it’s that time again. St. John’s United Church of Christ’s Apple Pancake Breakfast is on the horizon. Come one, come all to this great event!! Come meet our Pastor, Hunter. Lots of great fellowship. Plenty of goodies for sale and tickets to buy for our raffle.

If you weren’t at our 10:00 Service this morning, where were you? You missed a beautiful Service, lots of love and devotion, a thought provoking sermon and a great fellowship moment in the Fellowship Hall. I have attached the sermon along with some pics of the day. Stop by the St John's Community Closet (clothing for infants and toddlers up to 5T). All items are free to those who need them. The Closet is open on the first and third Thursday of the month, (11 am to 1 PM) appointments can be made.

St. John’s Yard Sale/Flea Market was a big success today. If you joined us, thank you for your support. If not, we hope to see you next time!
