Emmitt T. collected three hits in three at bats as the St Boniface Bluejays defeated Liberty Panthers 7th Grade 12-2 on Friday at Plummer Family Park!

Emmitt hit an inside the park home run in the first inning, tripled in the second inning, and doubled in the fifth inning!

Max F. drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Bluejays with five runs batted in! Max went 4-for-4 on the day! Way to go, BLUEJAYS!

As part of the Year of Saint Francis, the Parish Pastoral Council is sponsoring a pilgrimage to Saint Francis of Assisi Parish and Monastery in Teutopolis, Illinois, on Friday, October 9. Pilgrims will tour the fascinating Franciscan Monastery Museum, which houses artifacts and treasures dating from the mid-1800s to the present, celebrating the rich history of the Franciscan community. The day will also include the celebration of Holy Mass in the beautiful and historic Saint Francis Church, followed by lunch. This pilgrimage also provides an opportunity to obtain the Year of Saint Francis Plenary Indulgence by fulfilling the usual conditions prescribed by the Church. Transportation will be by deluxe coach bus. The cost is just $25 per person, which includes round-trip transportation, museum admission, and lunch. The bus will depart promptly at 8:45 a.m. from Saint Boniface and is expected to return by approximately 4:00 p.m. Space is limited to only 40 seats. Those interested are asked to register through the parish office as soon as possible to reserve their seat.

Last night, the BLUEJAYS Cross Country team competed in the Mascoutah Kick Off Meet. Vinnie F. placed 22nd out of over 100 runners in the boys’ varsity race. Emily G. placed 23rd out of over 100 runners in the girls’ varsity race with Grace B. getting 31st (and a PR). Mila W. finished 12th out of over 100 runners in the girls’ open. All of our runners did so well and it was great to see so many in Bluejay Blue!

We ended our school week with our Community Sorting Ceremony for our 5th graders and new 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Thirty-five students were welcomed into their new communities for the year. Thank you to our community leaders and our 8th graders for welcoming our new students so warmly. It's going to be a great year!

Prayer Backers
For the third year, we are inviting parents, grandparents, parishioners, and members of our school community to join us in praying the Rosary each day that our children are in school. The intention of our Rosary mission is to place our children, teachers, staff, and entire school community in the loving care of the Blessed Mother. We will pray for our Bluejays' faith, safety, friendships, education, and spiritual growth asking Mary to guide and protect them throughout the school year.

It's simple: Sign up for one or more school days and commit to praying the Rosary on that day. Whether you pray alone, with your family, or with a group, your prayer is a beautiful gift to our St. Boniface family. Our goal is to have someone praying the Rosary for our school every school day throughout the year. Thank you for helping us surround our children and school with prayer!
