"I truly never felt worthy of His love."

Jeremy and Courtney have been together ten years and married for nine. Both of them came into the marriage carrying heavy burdens and with habits they weren't proud of. Both of them knew a version of God who felt mostly like judgment.

This is their story - what God has restored, what He is still working on, and what they'd say to anyone who thinks they're too far gone to be welcome.

"You're never going to be perfect. God welcomes brokenness, and He invites you into a relationship even when you're broken."

Baptism is an outward expression of an internal reality, when we've decided to give our whole selves over to Jesus Christ. It's so special to get glimpses into the transformative power of Jesus in the lives of others, like this one with Brooklyn. May we all be encouraged by her determination to pray for others, and boldly declare our faith in front of others!

Is God punishing me, or preparing me?

Most of us read correction as rejection. God must be angry. God must be disappointed. Maybe God is finished with me.

Hebrews 12:6 says the opposite...the Lord disciplines the one He loves. And the word "discipline" there doesn't mean punishment. It means training. Instruction. Nurturing.

Nobody is. You don't come to Jesus because you're already cleaned up. You run to Him because He's welcoming you, mess and all.

"Your weakness is not a reason to run from Jesus. It's a reason to run to Jesus."

You do not have to clean yourself up first before running to Him. That's His job.

The God who welcomes us is also the God who loves us enough to confront what destroys us.

He loves you enough not to leave you in it , to be destroyed by the same thing, over and over.

It's both with Jesus. Always both.
