🌊 Let’s end this Friday with a little praise! 🙌

We all have that ONE worship song.
You know the one…
The song that can change your whole mood.
The song that reminds you of what God brought you through.
The song that you can hear a hundred times and still worship.
The song that seems to find you at exactly the right moment. ❤️

So, River family… what’s YOUR song? 🎶

Drop the name of your favorite worship song in the comments! 👇

Maybe your answer is exactly what someone else needs to hear tonight.

And while you're here, tag someone who needs a little praise in their feed today! ❤️

Let’s fill the comments with worship! 🙌🌊

🇺🇸 September 11 - A Day to Remember

Today, we remember. 🇺🇸

We remember the lives that were lost.

We remember the families who were changed forever.

We remember the heroes who ran toward danger to help others.

And we remember how, in the midst of fear and uncertainty, people came together, prayed together, and helped one another.

Today, The River Church is simply choosing to remember and pray. 🙏

Praying for the families who still carry the weight of that day.

Praying for those who serve and protect our communities.

Praying for our nation.

And praying that we never lose sight of the importance of loving our neighbor.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted.” Psalm 34:18

Today, let's pause for just a moment and remember.

If you feel led, leave a 🙏 in the comments as a simple prayer for our nation and for those who were affected by September 11.

🇺🇸 Never forgotten. Always remembered.

A note to anyone wanting to visit us, here at The River!

If your kids are loud, come anyway.
If you’re running late because getting everyone out the door was a battle, come anyway.
If your toddler won’t sit still, come anyway.
If your baby needs to eat, come anyway.
If your little one asks questions at the worst possible moment, come anyway.

If someone cries, drops a toy, needs a snack, or makes their third trip to the bathroom… come anyway.

If your child doesn’t know all the words to the songs, doesn’t know every prayer, or isn’t sure when to sit or stand… come anyway.

And if you spend the whole service managing kids and feel like you only caught about 12% of the message… we’re still glad you came. ❤️

Because your children don’t have to wait until they’re old enough to sit perfectly still to belong in the house of God.

They belong here now.

They learn worship by watching you worship.
They learn prayer by hearing us pray.
They learn the songs by singing along, or simply listening.
They learn that church is home because we make room for them here.

The wiggles, the whispers, the dropped crayons, the crying babies, and those little voices we hear throughout service aren't interruptions to the Church.

They are evidence that the Church is alive.

So, River families… bring the babies.
Bring the toddlers.
Bring the big kids.
Come early. Come late. Sit in the back. Sit in the front. Step out when you need to and come right back in.

Just come.

At the River, there is room for your family. 🌊❤️

Children aren't just the future of the Church.
They are part of the Church right now.

We believe in investing in our babies, our toddlers, our children, our teens, and our young families because they matter to God, and they matter to us.

Jesus said:

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

There’s room for you. There’s room for your kids. There’s room at the River. ❤️🌊

🌷 Happy Birthday to a Truly Remarkable Woman of God! 🌷

Today, River Church celebrates Karen Brown, a woman whose life is a beautiful testimony of faith, wisdom, strength, and grace.

She is our Bible study teacher and leader, but she is so much more than a title. She is an ear to listen, a heart to encourage, and a voice of wisdom when we need direction.

There is a lifetime of wisdom stored up in her, and we are blessed to have the opportunity to learn from her. She has a gift for bringing peace into difficult moments, speaking truth with love, and helping keep us grounded in what truly matters.

She is also one of the few people who can lovingly keep our pastor on his toes and we’re pretty sure that’s a spiritual gift too. ❤️😂

Karen Brown, your presence is a blessing to our church family. Thank you for every prayer, every word of wisdom, every lesson, every listening ear, and every moment you have poured into the lives of others.

May God continue to strengthen you, bless you, honor your faithfulness, and fill this next year with His goodness.

We love you, we appreciate you, and we thank God for the woman of God that you are.

🎂 Happy Birthday, Karen! ❤️

We are blessed to call you ours.

TESTIMONY TUESDAY 🙌

For years, a woman prayed for her husband to become a godly man. She held onto a promise from God, even through years of heartbreak, disappointment, and what seemed like impossible circumstances.

Eventually, she reached the end of herself and filed for divorce. As a last resort, they traveled to another town (far away) for marriage counseling. But God had already gone before them.

That day, her husband’s eyes were opened. He realized there was more than the religion he had always known. He surrendered his life to Jesus, and he’s been chasing Him ever since.

Their marriage was restored. Their family was restored. Their home was restored.

Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God…”

She sought Jesus first and God took care of the rest.

Friend, don’t count God out just because the situation looks impossible. Healing comes in many forms, and sometimes God heals an entire home.

Won’t He do it? 🙌

📖 Testimony Note:
Have you experienced a testimony that you’d like to share? We’d love to hear it! Send us a private message, and your story could be featured on an upcoming Testimony Tuesday! 🙌

🌊 HAPPY LABOR DAY! 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate the gift of work, the hands that serve, the people who provide, build, create, care, and make a difference every single day.

But remember this: your worth is not measured by how much you accomplish. ❤️

Even when you’re working hard, God calls you to rest in Him. Your identity isn’t found in your job, your productivity, or your achievements, it’s found in being His.

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

So today, take a breath. Thank God for the strength to work, the opportunity to serve, and the grace to rest.

Whatever you do, do it with all your heart, as working for the Lord. Colossians 3:23

Happy Labor Day, River Church family! 🇺🇸🌊

May God bless the work of your hands, and give you peace in the places where you need to simply rest in Him.
