Common Questions
What should I wear if I come on Sunday? That’s our only request. We are much more concerned about what’s going on inside of a person, than what they are wearing on the outside. If it helps you out, many people are usually pretty casual. Suits and dresses are welcome and so are je
ans and sandals. We don't want clothes to stand in the way of you and God. So, just come as you are. What's the music like during your services? Our live band usually consists of guitar, drums, bass, and keys. We don't have a choir or pipe organ. We don't wear robes or use Shakespearean lyrics. We try to sing songs that are deep and powerful in meaning, but easy to understand that can come from our hearts. Do my kids sit with me? Yes, during the first half of the service children 3 years thru 5th grade will sit with you. We value children and think it's important for them to experience the church worshiping, praying, and interacting with one another (and God) together. Before the message, they're released to age-appropriate rooms and experienced teachers will help your children learn about God in a relevant way, as well as offer fun experiences that will help the teaching come alive in their hearts. Nursery is available for children birth thru 2 years old for the entire service. Will I be asked to give money? If it’s your first time, we actually want you to keep your wallet in your pocket. Just come and experience a service at New Life. If you like it and want to call it your church home, then we believe giving financially to the church is a responsible next step. Will I be bored? We sure hope not! A life connected to Jesus should be fulfilling and rewarding. We strategically plan weekend gatherings to engage your heart, mind and soul. We use music, video, powerful teaching and other experiential elements to help you connect to God in a meaningful way. Service time usually runs about an 75-90 minutes. What is the overall environment like? We strive to make connections; with God and other people. All are welcome to join us. The atmosphere is light and not rigid. Little ones are valued here...so are older ones. We've done our best to create a casual environment that will set the tone for you to be more focused on God, and less concerned about the atmosphere around you. We want to do our part to put you in a position to connect with God. We even provide fresh coffee, and free WiFi. We understand church may be a little foreign to you, that's why we try pretty hard to help you feel at home while you're at New Life.
