What is Corpus Christi?
Corpus Christi means “The Body of Christ.”

This feast focuses on Holy Communion and gives thanks for the gift of the Eucharist. 🫓🍷

In some churches it is marked with special services, music or processions.
Its focus is simple: remembering and celebrating Christ’s presence in the bread and wine shared at Communion.

Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Charles Lwanga and Companions, the Ugandan martyrs who courageously gave their lives for Christ in the late 1800s. Their faith, immense courage, and devotion remind us to stand firm in our beliefs and trust in God's love. St. Charles Lwanga and Companions, pray for us!

The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity commemorates a central doctrine of Christianity, the Trinity. This doctrine, which developed over centuries, focuses on the nature of God which it defines as one God existing in three coeternal, consubstantial divine "persons." These "three persons" are said to be distinct, yet they share one essence, one substance and one nature.

We celebrate the day, because God is love, as Pope Benedict XVI reminded us in his encyclical Deus Caritas Est ("God is love") ❤️
