God never intended us to live the Christian life in our own strength.

The Holy Spirit gives us power to boldly share Jesus, strength in our weakness, hope in a hopeless world, and the ability to experience the fullness of God.

We don’t have to keep picking up the shovel and trying harder on our own. There is more available to us through the Spirit of God.

“I don’t want to settle. I don’t want to be complacent. Lord, I want more.”

Holy Spirit, fill us again. We want all that You have. 🕊️

God never intended us to live the Christian life in our own strength. The Holy Spirit who empowered the early Church is still present and at work today, giving us what we need to live boldly, faithfully, and fully surrendered to Jesus.

There’s a lot happening at The River, but through it all, our prayer stays the same: Jesus at the center. ❤️

We’re grateful for what God is doing in our church and expectant for what’s ahead. More opportunities to worship together, serve together, grow as disciples, build community, and make room for people to encounter Jesus.

September is here, and there’s so much to step into starting with Worship Night this Thursday, September 3, and leading into our new Sunday service times beginning September 13 at 8:30 + 10:30 AM!

We’re making room for more, but it’s all for Jesus.

These blue sketches are simply illustrations, but they represent something we never want to lose sight of: the Spirit of God is moving among His people. In worship. In prayer. In our kids. In moments of surrender. In lives being drawn closer to Jesus.

As our church grows, our prayer isn’t simply for fuller rooms. It’s for more people to know Jesus, more lives transformed by His presence, and more room for people to gather, grow, serve, and become disciples of Christ.

Beginning September 13, The River Church is moving to two Sunday services:

8:30 AM + 10:30 AM

Come worship with us. Bring your family. Invite someone who needs a place to encounter Jesus.

We’re expectant for what God is doing in our church, but above everything else, Jesus is the reason for it all. May He be glorified in His Church.

THANK GOD IT’S SUNDAY 🙌

There’s something special about gathering together as the family of God. Coming into His house, lifting our voices, opening His Word, and fixing our eyes on Jesus together.

“Let us go to the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1

Whatever this week has held, today we get to gather again. Come expectant. Come ready to worship. Come ready to give Him the glory He deserves.

Jesus, You are worthy of it all.

We can’t wait to worship with you this morning, church family. 🤍

And Young Adults, stick around after church! Gather & Go is heading to the park for lunch, fellowship, and baptisms as we celebrate what Jesus is doing in the lives of two of our college students.

All young adults are invited, and our church family is welcome to come celebrate with us too! If you’re joining us for lunch, just bring a side to share.

Stay planted. 🌱

There’s something beautiful about a life that keeps choosing His presence.

Sunday, Jill reminded us from Psalm 1 that the strength of a tree isn’t found in what everyone can see. It’s found in the roots. Healthy fruit comes from healthy roots.

And maybe that’s the invitation for us in the middle of this week: go deeper.

Open your Bible. Sit with Jesus. Let His Word get into the places nobody else sees.

We can spend so much time asking, “God, would You speak?” while forgetting that He has already given us His Word. His voice isn’t reserved for Sunday mornings. He wants to meet us in the ordinary moments too. At the kitchen table. Before work. In the quiet of your room. With a Bible open and a heart ready to listen.

Psalm 1 says the one who delights in the Word of the Lord is like a tree planted by streams of water, bearing fruit in its season.

Stay by the River.
Stay rooted in His Word.
Stay close to His presence.

The fruit will come in its season. 🌿
