June 10th is just another day to a lot of people, but for me it was the beginning of a life of ministry. June 10, 1979 I stood for the first time to preach my first message. My first convert was a gentleman from PA that stopped in to visit our pastor. This man had preached the Gospel for years and walked away. That night listening to a 18 year old kid preach his first message caused the man to give his life back to Christ and get back into ministry.
In 47 years I've had the honor of stepping across denominational lines and minister. Been on a few different television broadcast, for about 5 years had a radio ministry. Pastored 5 churches either ready to close or start a new work. I was never offered a church that was well established. (For that I am grateful) a little over 5 years as a youth & associate pastor. As far as missions I worked in Biloxi Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina, worked in North Carolina shortly after the floods that devastated the state a couple years ago. Mission Ministry in Mexico and Honduras. Eventually God willing, in 2027 I'll be in Kenya, and if God says go now, I have offers to come to Haiti.
I've worked street ministry, got prostitutes into rehab, one time I had the opportunity to pray for a pimp.
47 years seems like a long time, but there's too much more to do to sit and idle. Like Caleb in the Bible only I'm not 80 years old, but there's a mountain with my name on it and I'm going for it with everything that is in me.
