Before the sun set on Sunday, Jean Paul had traveled across Rwanda's Southern Province to connect with students studying far from home.

His journey included visits to two different secondary schools. At the first, he spent time with two of our S2 students. At the second, he visited three Rooted Oaks S1 students as well as three students from our Vineyard Church community.

While these trips can be long and demanding, they are always worth it. The joy on a student's face, the encouragement shared between families and caregivers, and the relationships strengthened through each visit remind us why this work matters.

Our team gathers once a month with the caregivers of the children in our ministry.
These meetings are a space to listen, to learn, and to walk alongside families as they navigate the challenges they face. We talk through parenting best practices, offer encouragement, and continue strengthening the relationships that make our community so resilient. We believe deeply in supporting the whole family — not just the children — because healthy homes create healthy futures.

This weekend, our team will be hosting one of these gatherings.

Help us welcome the newest member of our Rwanda staff team — Sharon!

We are overjoyed to have her step into the role of Vocational Training School Coordinator, a position we have prayed over for many years. Sharon will be walking closely with our current, future, and former sewing students as they pursue this trade and build steady income for their families.

Sharon is a wife and mother of four—three boys and one girl—and she carries a deep passion for sewing and for seeing women given the opportunity to thrive. Her strength, compassion, and lived experience make her the perfect person to champion this program.
