💙 INTRODUCING GIVING BACK FRIDAY

Celebrating the people who make community care possible.

Starting this month, we are proud to introduce Giving Back Friday!
Each Friday, we’ll highlight a special volunteer, organization, or business whose generosity and support help make our Community Family Pantry and Wednesday Night Free Community Meal possible.

These ministries truly take a community. From donating food and supplies to giving financial support, volunteering countless hours, making connections, and simply showing up when help is needed—we could not do what we do without so many incredible people working alongside us.

🌟 Our first Giving Back Friday spotlight is Mark J Brown Jr 🌟

Mark works tirelessly throughout our community, creating connections between nonprofits so resources can be shared and donated items can get where they are needed most—helping ensure that nothing goes to waste.

We are incredibly grateful to be one of the many organizations that benefits from Mark’s dedication. Almost every week, Mark helps support our Community Family Pantry, bringing items that can be shared with the families we serve.
And his support doesn’t stop there! Mark also donates food for our Wednesday Night Free Community Meal, helping us put a warm meal on the table for our neighbors each week.

Mark is a wonderful example of what can happen when organizations work together with one goal in mind: caring for our community and our neighbors. ❤️
Mark, THANK YOU for the miles you drive, the connections you make, the resources you share, and the countless ways you give back!

Please remember: Our pastor and staff will NEVER email or text you asking you to purchase gift cards, send gift card numbers, or make an unusual payment on their behalf.

Scammers can make an email appear legitimate or use an address very similar to a staff member’s actual email address.

⚠️ If you receive a suspicious message:
• Do NOT reply
• Do NOT click any links
• Do NOT purchase gift cards
• Check the sender’s actual email address
• When in doubt, contact the church office directly to verify the request

Please help us protect our church family by sharing this reminder—especially with friends or members who may not regularly use social media.

🎉 Exciting News from First Congregational UCC!

This morning, we officially welcomed and prayed over The Rev. Rick Mihm as he accepted his expanded role as our part-time Interim Pastor!

In this role, Pastor Rick will be with us beyond Sunday mornings—providing pastoral care, worship leadership, adult education, spiritual guidance, and regular office hours throughout the week.

We are grateful for Rick’s willingness to walk alongside us during this exciting season of ministry and discernment.

Please join us in welcoming Pastor Rick and keeping him and our congregation in your prayers as we begin this next chapter together! ❤️🙏
