Help us bring The Mantle to Uganda!

As Deacon Godfrey prepares to return to Uganda for his ordination this August, he hopes to launch a youth ministry modeled after St. Brigid's Mantle program. With Uganda's young population and growing need for faith formation, this is a unique opportunity to share the Gospel and build a vibrant community of young disciples across the world.

Fr. Fox, Ellie Dills, and Otis Dills plan to travel to Uganda in August to help establish the program and train local leaders. We are seeking support to help fund the mission and provide resources to launch The Mantle Uganda.

We know there is an Ebola outbreak in Uganda, and travel restrictions may impact our plans. However, we remain committed to Deacon Godfrey and The Mantle Uganda. If our team is unable to travel, donations will still be sent to support the ministry, and we will continue to mentor and guide the program from afar. We trust that God has a plan for The Mantle both here and in Uganda, and we ask for your continued prayers for this unique missionary opportunity.

Any funds raised beyond travel expenses will directly support youth ministry efforts in Deacon Godfrey's new parish.

St. Brigid of Kildare School is honored to announce the establishment of the Deacon Frank and Peggy Iannarino Endowment Fund at The Catholic Foundation. This lasting gift will provide support for the SPICE (Special People in Catholic Education) Program and resources that promote the health and well-being of our students.

Peggy Iannarino served as St. Brigid’s school nurse for 25 years, caring for generations of students and families with compassion and dedication. Deacon Frank has devoted more than 50 years to Catholic education and has served St. Brigid Parish since its founding in 1987—first during its early years and later as a deacon following his ordination in 1989. Together, their lives reflect faithful service and deep commitment to Catholic education and to St. Brigid of Kildare Parish.

Their connection to St. Brigid is also personal: their children are proud alumni of the school, shaped by the faith, care, and community they experienced here. Through this endowment, the Iannarino family ensures that future students will continue to receive that same support and opportunity.

The SPICE program holds special meaning for Frank and Peggy, who believe strongly in ensuring that students with learning differences are fully supported in a nurturing Catholic environment. This fund will help sustain resources that allow all students to learn, grow, and thrive.

We are deeply grateful for this extraordinary gift and for the legacy of service that inspired it. The Deacon Frank and Peggy Iannarino Endowment Fund will bless St. Brigid students and families for generations to come.

On Good Friday, our parish gathered for a powerful Tenebrae service, journeying through darkness and reflection to be reminded of Christ’s sacrifice and the hope of His victory.
