Sometimes a trial isn’t a circumstance. Sometimes it’s a person. 😬

James 1:2-4 tells us to consider our trials a great joy because the testing of our faith produces endurance. And sometimes, God uses difficult and unlovely people to grow that endurance in us, to work on our heart posture.

Because following Jesus isn’t just about how we act when people are easy to love. It’s about what comes out of us when they aren’t.
When we are irritated, offended, frustrated, or simply at our wits end with a person, what is the posture of our heart?

As endurance grows, we learn to respond with the heart of God instead of reacting from our flesh. We come armed with the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.

We may not be able to change difficult people, but we can allow God to change the way OUR hearts respond to them. A response that looks more like Jesus.

Maybe this week hasn't gotten any easier. The burden you are carrying is still heavy, and the answers haven't come.

Sometimes praise looks like a quiet, "thank you Lord, for helping me through today." It doesn't have to be a long prayer. He hears you. God welcomes your worship with tears still falling. You can be honest about how hard it is and still thank Him for being faithful.

As you finish this week, what is ONE thing you can thank God for?

This weekend we honored three incredible kids graduating out of childrens church!

These three have been on fire for Jesus for a long time, they shine Jesus' light where ever they go. Our children's ministry workers have gotten to watch these kids go from playing together in the nursery to now praying together. Each week they make it a point to ask all of the kids in our class for their highs and lows of the week so they knew how to pray for each other throughout the week.

They have had amazing testimonies on how they shared Jesus' love at school, in sports, with their non Christian friends, and even with their families.

It is truly such an honor to be able to plant those little seeds in them in Children's ministry to aid them to go out and spread them to others.

It's easy to thank God when things are going well in life. But what about when life is hard, the situation is messy, and you're still waiting for an answer? We can bring Him our praise right there too. Through tears, unanswered questions, and prayers we can barely put into words, He is still worthy.

Praising God in the middle of a trial doesn't mean pretending everything is fine. It means trusting that He is still good and that He hasn't left us. This week wherever you find yourself, take a moment to thank Him for His presence, His faithfulness, and His love that never changes. You don't have to wait until the storm has passed to worship. Do it now. 💙

The first week of school in our area is officially in the books! 🥳

There may have been some early mornings, rushed and tired kids (and parents), and few adjustments along the way, but YOU made it!

As routines begin to settle in, let's thank God for carrying our students, families, teachers, and school staff through the week. We pray that this school year will be filled with growth, meaningful friendships, new opportunities, and plenty of reminders of God's goodness.

What was one big win from your family's first week of school? Big or small, let's celebrate together! 🙌
