Celebrate Recovery - SMCC Draper, Utah

Celebrate Recovery - SMCC Draper, Utah Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits.

It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory. 20 years ago, Saddleback Church launched Celebrate Recovery with 43 people. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. Celebrate Recovery has helped more than 17000 people at Saddleback, attracting over 7

0% of its members from outside the church. Eighty-five percent of the people who go through the program stay with the church and nearly half serve as church volunteers. Celebrate Recovery is now in over 19,000 churches worldwide!

Please join us this Tuesday, March 31st for a special live testimony from our dear sister in Christ, Stacy.

Come join us for food, fellowship and a true story of God's healing power in her life and family! You will be AMAZED at the healing YOU CAN FIND TOO, in Celebrate Recovery at SMCC!

Stacy is celebrating 11 years of recovery from codependency, control, anxiety and food addiction. She will share how she has been delivered from shame and accepted into relationship with Jesus Christ.

Stacy has an inspirational story about what happens when we allow God in as the master mender, who heals and grows us from the inside out.

Stacy was once a victim of abuse and has been working on healing old wounds, allowing grace in and claiming VICTORY in her recovery!

CR Family,
Mark your calendars for a special testimony from our dear brother Mike / Rainbow on Tuesday, March 17th at 6:30pm.

In Rainbow’s own words…
“If you look thru my history of pictures you almost never see me with out a beer. I used to struggle with beer and booze, and etc..... Now? Nope, I have hope, I have a family that loves me and Jesus has healed my heart and dried up the river of alcohol that used to flow in my body. Thanks to Jesus I no longer have the desire to drink!”

We hope you are able to join us for this special event. Invite a friend or two.

Please join us this Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:30 PM as our very own Bret shares his testimony.
Bret was brought up in a very dysfunctional LDS family. He became a slave to alcohol, ma*****na and po*******hy for 35 years. Jesus Christ offered him the way out of the turmoil he was living in by changing him from the inside out. Come hear Bret’s story of significant struggles that evolved into redemption in victory!
This is a night you won’t want to miss.
Invite a friend or two!

Not everything that’s broken needs to be hidden. Some of our cracks become holy places... where grace enters, where healing begins, where God reminds us we are still usable, still loved, still called. Today, don’t rush to fix yourself. Listen for the bell that still rings. Let the Light meet you right where you are. 🙏

Join us TONIGHT for our monthly Potluck and full chip ceremony!

Bring something to share for the Potluck dinner if you are able to, and come enjoy food and fellowship!
Dinner starts at 6pm and our live worship band will take the stage at 6:30pm.

We will be celebrating our full chip ceremony! If you have a monthly or yearly anniversary, we have a chip for you!!

Once we close our large group meeting, we will be breaking off into our gender specific/issue specific small groups. We encourage you to join one of these circles where we find freedom through sharing our hurts, habits and hang-ups in a safe and judgement free environment.

We look forward to seeing you!

Sometimes the bravest thing someone can do is simply show up. Not polished. Not perfect. Just present. May we be a people who notice the courage it takes to arrive, who respond with welcome instead of whispers, and who reflect the grace we ourselves rely on every day. Because love doesn’t ask why you struggled... it says, I’m glad you’re here.
“Welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” - Romans 15:7

If this spoke to you, share it. Someone may need this reminder today. 💝

This Christmas, may we choose peace over pride, compassion over convenience, and kindness over judgment.

Every small act of love reflects the heart of Christ and that’s the light the world needs most.

What would change if we stopped trying to compare our pain and simply chose to walk beside each other with compassion? I think it has the power to change us and change the world.
