The memorial service will be held this Saturday at the Drain Church of Christ, starting at 1:00 PM.

Warren Taft DeLaVergne, age 97, of Drain, Oregon, passed away peacefully March 6th, 2026. He was the son of Wellington and Ella (Taft) DelaVergne. Born October 31, 1928, in Huntington Beach, California, later moving to Creswell, Oregon before entering the Army and finishing his law degree at the University of Oregon. Warren was a Veteran, Lawyer, Justice of the Peace, and a successful commercial fisherman. He loved music and was an accomplished accordion player.

Warren was a devoted husband, caring father, and cherished friend to many. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew him. His career was law, but his love was fishing with his wife Margaret, tending his fruit trees in Arizona, and sitting in the Arizona sun. Warren was a proud University of Oregon graduate and encouraged his children to strive for success whether it was college, sports, or hobbies. We traveled with our parents creating lasting memories for our family. We will always remember dad and his love for us.

Warren was a member of the Oregon Bar Association, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Masonic Lodge, and the Sunnydale Grange.

Warren had many friends throughout his 97 years and will be remembered fondly. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his remarkable life and the legacy he leaves behind. He will forever remain in our hearts, and his spirit will guide us as we move forward.

The service will take place at the Church of Christ in Drain Oregon on March 21, 2026, at 1:00 pm.

Arrangements are in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel.

Gentlemen, it’s time to carve out a morning just for you — a chance to fuel your body, your spirit, and your brotherhood. Join us for a hearty breakfast and a powerful devotion designed to inspire, challenge, and strengthen you in your walk with Christ.

We’ll kick things off with a filling breakfast—think good food, good company, and real conversation. Afterward, a member from our church will deliver an impactful message to motivate and equip you for everyday life, faith, and leadership.

This is a chance to connect with other men who are on the same journey, share stories, and grow stronger together in faith and brotherhood. Whether you’re a seasoned believer or just starting out, this event is built for men who want to be better husbands, fathers, friends, and followers of Christ.

Come as you are—bring your questions, your challenges, and your desire to become the man God’s called you to be. Let’s stand together, support each other, and build a stronger, more united church family.
