It’s easy to miss the forest for the trees. It’s easy to dial in on a thing we find facilitating and then miss the plot or the opportunity to be close to the main storyline. Even when we as the human species had turned entirely away; God is still redeeming. Keep your eyes on Him, the One still redeeming.

Plan was a 10-miler, out & back. But, I was feeling great and the weather was better. I'd get signal in a few more miles, call someone to meet me on down the trail and turn this into 20 miles. But I slowed, the sun set, and I had no headlamp. How'd this happen to me? Poor decisions. Truth: we need a rescue from us. We often wonder how we end up where we are when the real thing we need to cry out is: "Lord, help me!"

WW Crew! It is a great day to gather and share about the love and life of Christ. Tonight the NYI will be in the 1st chapter of Philippians and the Elementary will be in their new curriculum this evening. See you at 5:30 for start and 7p for pick-ups.

A couple other midweek reminders...

1) We are excited to invite you to Homecoming ’26! On September 20th we will gather for Sunday Celebration of the ongoing work of Christ in and through this local church. Invite friends, family, neighbors to celebrate His goodness and fellowship at the table after services. Please see the sign up board in the foyer for needs for the meal. The church is providing the drinks and the meats, and we need your help with the sides and sweets.

2) September Game Night
Join us on Sunday evening, September 27th for our monthly game night fellowship. We will start at 5p and this month is board game night.

The grass is always greener...
Somewhere else. This seems to be the consensus. We’ve cloaked this idea in the virtue of ambition, proclaiming we are voting with our presence & pocketbooks and we’re going elsewhere. Yet all it takes to herd the masses is some good marketing and we remain seeds unplanted with no growth.
