Why you go to Church...

Are you missing in action? Thomas was one of the twelve, handpicked by Jesus himself, yet he was absent when the risen Lord appeared to his disciples. One week changed everything.

When Thomas finally showed up, Jesus did not condemn him. He met him exactly where he was, wounds and all, and said, "Be not faithless, but believing" (John 20:27). Your doubts do not make God nervous. He will meet you where you are.

Do not let heaviness keep you from being where you are supposed to be. Locked doors could not keep Christ out, and your circumstances cannot keep His peace from reaching you. He still speaks the same word today: peace be unto you.

Show up. Stay present. You do not want to miss what God is doing.

Elder T’s sermon this past Sunday, “Who Do You Think You Are?”, reminded us that God chose us and calls us to live with purpose. We’re part of His royal family, created to reflect His glory and bring His kingdom into the world.

To fulfill the mission God has given us, we must align ourselves with Him and allow Him to renew our minds. Jesus prayed for His followers to be protected and set apart in truth as they carried out God’s work in the world.

Let’s seek God’s kingdom first and live out the purpose He has placed before us!
