Some of the most beautiful things God accomplishes in a soul are born in seasons we would never choose for ourselves.
St. Catherine of Siena did not become a saint through comfort or ease. She endured misunderstanding, illness, opposition, and countless sacrifices, yet she never allowed suffering to extinguish her love for Christ. Instead, every trial became another step closer to Him.
We often pray for strength, but when strength arrives, it usually comes disguised as a cross to carry, a wound to heal, or a hardship to endure. Looking back, we realize that the moments that shaped us most were not the easiest ones—they were the ones that taught us perseverance, faith, and trust in God.
"Nothing great is ever achieved without much enduring."
May we have the courage to remain faithful through our own struggles, knowing that God is at work even in the hardest chapters of our story.
