The time to prepare for potential winter weather is now! Keep an eye on our FB page for any weather related updates to our services.

If you have been on social media, stopped for gas, or been to Food Lion in the last day, you have probably heard a lot of talk about this weekend’s winter weather predictions.

There is growing confidence that Buckingham County will see a significant winter storm. This storm may bring snow, sleet, and ice. We are still a day or two away from knowing exact amounts, but current forecasts agree that several inches of accumulating snow is possible. Temperatures are also expected to stay below freezing for several days.

Now is the time to get ready. Being prepared now can help keep you and your family safe if travel is difficult or if power is lost.

-Simple preparedness tips:

-Have at least 3 days of food and water for each person

-Do not forget food and water for pets

-Make sure you have a safe backup heat source

-Charge your cell phones and battery packs

-Keep flashlights and extra batteries nearby

-Have a small amount of cash on hand

-Check on neighbors, especially the elderly or those with medical needs

We had the BEST evening kicking off the Christmas season at the Dillwyn Christmas Parade! Our candy & gingerbread inspired float, "Jesus, the Sweetest Name I Know," reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of our Savior Jesus. Everything is sweeter when we turn to HIM. As we prepare for Christmas, remember to turn to the only One who brings hope, love, joy, and peace. ❤️

As an added bonus, we just found out we won the 2025 Best Overall Entry! Thank you to everyone at our church who helped with this special float!

We have been SO BLESSED this summer to host TWO outdoor Baptism services! In July we celebrated 11 people dedicating their lives to Christ and another 13 people making this amazing decision today! If you're looking for the TRUTH, a loving family, and a place of belonging, join us on Sundays at 9:30 for Sunday School and 10:30 for Worship.

📢📢📢SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 21ST we will have a Baptism & worship service at Bear Creek Lake State Park at 12 NOON followed by a picnic lunch. We will have Sunday School at our church building at 9:30. We will NOT have our regular worship service at 10:30. Please join us at Bear Creek for worship. Please bring a chair!
