East Lake Church is a full-service ministry, open to the community seven days each week, providing ministries and services that meet needs and answer questions. Whether it is bible study or basketball tournaments; health and healing ministries or affordable housing; Spirit-driven worship experiences or schools of excellence for children of all ages; purpose-driven teaching or Promiseland Daycare;

family nurture or Alcoholic and Substance abuse meetings; the Beacon Bookstore and Gift Shop, Kingdom Kidz Day Camp or Seniors food & friendship and so much more.

ATTENTION: Historic East Lake Church of Detroit in collaboration with MGC Global Ministries is hosting a Community Blast Off Weekend! This is an event for the entire family: from the youngest to the oldest! Our Community Blast-Off Weekend of Family Events, will begin Friday, August 29th and conclude on Sunday, August 31st, 2014. All events will be hosted at the Family Life Center on the campus of Historic East Lake Church.

On Friday, August 29th, educational and resource information sessions for families and youth will be featured. We will be hosting a free Health Fair for the entire community including physicals, immunizations and back to school physicals, as well as distributing healthy foods by Gleaners Pantry.

Saturday, August 30th, our Community Blast-off Festival will feature food, rides, and wholesome entertainment and fun for the family. Making appearances will be celebrities from the world of Gospel entertainment, Hispanic dancers, Break-dancers, Hip Hop dancers, Mexican musicians and more.

The weekend event climaxes on Sunday, August 31st with a spectacular Community Praise Blast-off/Picnic accompanied with Community Vendors. Infants, children, teens, adults and seniors are all welcomed to attend.Vendor opportunities are available. please call (313) 821 9348 for more information.
