Introducing ---“Women’s Celebration Wednesday,” --- a platform designed to spotlight the phenomenal women making an impact in the Church Of God In Christ. Today, we celebrate our beloved Mother Mary J. Walton.

A servant of the Lord for over 50 years, Mother Walton came to know the Lord while in the Sunshine Band at her local church. She is a retired Radiology Technologist as well as a retired Practical Nurse. Mother Walton is a faithful member of Whitlock Memorial Church of God in Christ. She is the founder and President of The Summit – an outreach ministry that has been both a blessing and consolation to countless hurting women for over 30 years. For over 25 years, Mother Walton has served as the Jurisdictional Supervisor of Southwest Michigan Fourth Jurisdiction. Under the tenure of Presiding Bishop J. Sheard, she was appointed the Third Assistant General Supervisor in the International Department of Women.
