God's glory is showcased in the ministry of the gospel. We see the Father, Son and Holy Spirit effecting our salvation in ways that evoke the highest praise. Musing upon these noble truths sharpens our minds and strengthens our faith. Our sermon text on Sunday will be Hebrews 9:13-14, we will also observe Communion together.

"But in Humility..."
The Philippian church received a compelling blueprint for relationships that is rooted in rich Christology. It's a practical "how to" application of Scripture's teaching on the body of Christ - key concept being humility. We'll draw from other parts of the chapter to see how it all fits in another setting, as well.

One Body, Many Parts
Scripture teaches the sacred bond between believers within the church, which is Christ's body. Diversity with a unity of purpose, everyone has a place at the table and each has a role. Our sermon passage for Sunday is I Corinthians 12:12-27.

Ambassadors for Christ!
This month we are focusing on bringing intentionality to our walk with Christ. The launchpad was Jesus' words to the Laodicean church regarding being lukewarm. On Sunday we'll consider the great ministry that has been entrusted to us - the message of reconciliation! Our sermon text will be 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 - do we feel the weight of the gospel in our regular interactions with those around us?

Make Every Effort!
Following Jesus' words to Laodicea on being lukewarm, we will have some messages this month that spur us on to maturity in Christ. On Sunday we'll consider Peter's important imperative, make every effort. Our sermon passage for Sunday is 2 Peter 1:3-15.

Jesus rebukes those in Laodicea for being lukewarm and self-sufficient, blind to their own spiritual poverty. He promised they would sit with Him on His throne, just as He said with Him on His Father on His throne. Philadelphia!
Our sermon on Sunday will be rooted in Revelation 3:7-13. The Philadelphia church kept the Word and did not deny Christ despite weakness. They were assured protection in trials and an open door. Jesus promised to make them a pillar in God's temple with His name with His name written on them.

Everyone around Sardis thought highly of them but looks can be deceiving. Far from being alive, they were dead. Jesus called on them to wake up, strengthen what remained, and repent. If they did so, He promised those people white garments and their name in the Book of Life along with those who had not already soiled their clothes. Church in Pergamum
Jesus commended the church in Pergamum for holding to Him while enduring persecution in a hostile city filled with temples to Greek gods and to Caesar. He called some in their midst to repent of holding to false teaching, while promising those who overcame hidden manna and a white stone with a new name. On Sunday we will examine how we can stay true to Christ when facing opposition and pressure from our culture.

Be Faithful
On Sunday we'll examine Jesus' words to the church at Smyrna. Smyrna was a spiritually rich church despite enduring suffering and poverty. Jesus warned them of upcoming persecution and imprisonment, they would suffer for the gospel. They were promised the crown of life and protection from the second death as they overcame the trials headed their way.
