In our sermon passage, James warns against boasting about future plans without considering God's will. Life is truly like a mist or fog - here for a little while before vanishing. Living by the "eternal perspective" is such a blessing for believers, but we also need to avoid the trap of presuming upon tomorrow. We are reminded that if we know the right thing to do but don't do it, that is sin.

Humble Hearts, Heavenly Grace
As we emerge from Jame's treatment of wisdom, he once again breaks things down in very practical terms! He warns against quarrels and worldliness, as conflict comes from selfish desires. As Christ followers, we are called to submit to the Lord and draw near to Him, resisting our adversary. James urges repentance and humility - God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. And grace is what we need! Our sermon text is James 4:1-12.

Good Friday Service! 6:30 pm
Join us for reflections on the seven sayings of Jesus on the cross as we prepare to worship on Resurrection Sunday! Seven different speakers will speak briefly on each of the seven sayings. Our hope is that this time of worship will provide opportunity to consider the depth of our sin and the deep love of God for us. As they say, "It's Friday, but Sunday's coming!" All are welcome, there will be no childcare for this event.

Resurrection Sunday
Our first Sunday of the month prayer gathering is at 9:30 am, in front of the stage.
