As Pastor Appreciation Month comes to a close, we are reminded of just how blessed we are as a church family to have not one, but three incredible pastors who faithfully shepherd, love, and care for the hearts of our congregation. Their lives and leadership reflect our mission: “For every man, woman, and child to have repeated opportunities to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
One of the greatest gifts our pastors give our church is their example of what healthy ministry and discipleship look like. They remind us that the work of the Church was never meant to rest on the shoulders of a few, but to be lived out together as the body of Christ. Through their leadership, encouragement, and investment in others, they equip and empower our church family to grow as disciples of Jesus, serve one another, and share His love with our community. They create opportunities for families to serve, volunteer, grow in faith, and experience the blessing of being served by others.
And while thank you hardly seems sufficient, we want our pastors (and the incredible wives who love, support, and keep them grounded) to know how deeply grateful we are for the ways they help shape the heart and culture of our church.
Their ministry reaches far beyond the pulpit on Sunday mornings. It looks like opening God's Word and pointing us to Jesus, fixing a ceiling on a Tuesday morning, praying beside someone walking through sickness or hardship, preparing meals for community nights, passing out Popsicles to our kids, counseling couples and families, staying up through the night investing in our youth, and creating meaningful, unforgettable memories through events throughout the year.
This is what faithful shepherding looks like. It is showing up, serving humbly, loving intentionally, and pointing people back to Jesus, in the big moments and in the everyday ones. It is being present in the joys and sorrows of life and reminding us, through both words and actions, what it means to follow Christ.
To our pastors and their families: thank you for your faithfulness, your servant hearts, your prayers, your sacrifices, and your unwavering commitment to the mission God has entrusted to our church. Thank you for loving people well, investing in the next generation, and helping us become a church that lives out the Gospel together.
We are grateful for you, we thank God for you, and we are blessed to call you our pastors.
As a church family, we celebrate you not just during Pastor Appreciation Month, but all year long. May the Lord continue to strengthen you, encourage you, and bear fruit through your faithful ministry for His glory! ❤️
