Islam and the Human Self Part 2

Immigrants bring more than their stories with them. They bring their skills, cultures, faith, resilience, dreams, and the desire to build a better future for themselves and their families. 🤍

This National Immigrants Day, we celebrate the immigrants who make our communities stronger, and reaffirm our commitment to serving them with dignity, compassion, and care.

To every family finding their way: you don't have to navigate it alone. 🫶

We were honored to welcome Senator Senator Michael Bennet to the Downtown Denver Islamic Center following Jumu’ah today!

During the visit, our team discussed the Muslim community’s presence and priorities in Colorado, the importance of civic engagement, and the issues that matter most to Muslim families across our state. 💚

We also had the opportunity to discuss potential collaboration on the Safer Spaces for All Act and initial ideas for FY28 Congressionally Directed Spending projects.

We’re grateful for opportunities to connect with our elected representatives, share our community’s needs, and work toward a safer, stronger, and more inclusive Colorado for all. 🤍
