🌱 Teaching Tuesday 🌱
Did you know that community gardens do more than grow vegetables? They help grow healthier families, stronger communities, and meaningful connections. 💚
The Community Garden is officially up and running for the season, and we’re excited about the impact it will have right here in our community! Through our partnership with First Fruits Farm & Orchard, volunteers have already planted bell peppers, tomatoes, squash, and hundreds—if not thousands—of onions across growing sites in Ephrata and Cocalico. 🌶️🍅🧅
With expanded growing space this year, we have the opportunity to provide even more fresh produce to local families who may struggle to afford healthy fruits and vegetables. The harvest will be shared with local nonprofits, churches, and organizations that help provide food to those in need throughout our community.
The Community Garden is also a hands-on way to make a difference. Volunteers work together throughout the season preparing soil, planting, weeding, tending crops, and harvesting produce—all while learning new skills and building relationships. 🌱🤝
Whether you can join us once or throughout the season, there is always a place for you in the garden!
