Jesus says only two words: "Follow Me."
There is no argument, no lengthy explanation, no negotiation.
Just a command.

And Matthew rises and follows.

Because there is power in the voice of Jesus. The same Lord who spoke light into darkness now speaks into Matthew's life. When Jesus calls, he does not simply offer advice. He creates what he commands.

This is how salvation works.

The gospel is not merely information. It is the living call of God through Jesus Christ. When the Holy Spirit opens our hearts, we hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, and we come.

The Apostle Paul says God "called us" by his grace. The call of Jesus is powerful because it carries with it the grace necessary to respond.

Matthew leaves his tax booth because he has found something infinitely greater. He leaves temporary wealth for eternal treasure. He leaves an old life for a new one. He leaves his desk and begins following Jesus.

Every Christian has experienced this same miracle in one form or another. Perhaps your story is dramatic. Perhaps it unfolded quietly over many years.

But if you belong to Jesus, it is because He first called you.

Your salvation ultimately rests not on the strength of your decision, but on the faithfulness of His call.

To God be the Glory, Amen!

First Sunday for the month of June (6/7) will be our First Annual Family Fun Day!

Following Holy Communion at 9am, we will have a picnic style lunch and enjoy some fellowship together!🌭🍖

Don't worry about bringing a dish this time around! Food will be provided. Dress is picnic style casual this Sunday! 🌳

There will be an inflatable slide and activities for the kids and the young at heart. You won't want to miss it! 🛝
