Have you been to a “pounding”? A pound of this, a pound of that. It’s an old-fashioned way to supply a couple with groceries and cleaning supplies to get them started. We “pounded” for Shelby and Cade’s shower. First Baptist loves yall!

Announcements

• “Pounding” for Shelby Bawcum & Cade Curtis- Sept. 6, 2 pm., fellowship hall. This is an old-fashioned way to have a wedding shower for pantry items, cleaning supplies,etc.- “a pound of this or that”. Please bring non-perishables.
• Community mission with Parsons Methodist,
Sept. 19-it is our turn to provide individually wrapped desserts for the monthly dinner. Have them at our church by 8:30 am on Sat., Sept. 19.
• This year we are celebrating our church’s 125th anniversary! Special service Sept. 20, am worship time- Old Timer’s Day! Dress like people would have 125 years ago.
• Ministry training available- registration info in foyer on bulletin board.
