Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It’s a time to remember and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their courage and commitment created freedoms and opportunities many of us benefit from every day — both personally and professionally.

Grateful today and always for those who gave everything.

Fear Or Faith?

Fear is real — but for the believer, it is never ultimate. Scripture reminds us, "For GOD gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7, ESV).
Fear enslaves…but faith in Christ sets free.

Faith looks beyond the immediate — beyond the storm, the uncertainty, the giants — and sees the sovereign hand of our Almighty GOD working all things for His glory and our good (Romans 8:28).

Fear tells you that you are alone; faith clings to the promise that "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5, ESV).

When the Israelites stood before the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s armies closing in, fear screamed for surrender — but Moses declared, "Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD" (Exodus 14:13, ESV). And the LORD made a way where there was no way.

Let your faith — rooted not in yourself but in the finished work of Christ — silence every trembling fear. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and remember: in Him, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).

Faith does not deny the existence of danger…it proclaims the supremacy of Christ over every danger.

Faith does not close its eyes to suffering…it opens its heart wider to the GOD who redeems even suffering for eternal joy.
Today, stand firm in the LORD.

Believe His Word more than you believe your fears.
Faith triumphs because Christ has triumphed!
“When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.”
Psalms 56:3

SILENT SATURDAY: FINDING HOPE IN THE WAIT

Not many people pay much attention to Holy Saturday. Friday and Sunday get all the attention. There is limited biblical material on Saturday but many of our days feel like Silent Saturday: confusing, hopeless, silent.

Imagine hiding in a locked upper room all day “for fear of the Jews” (John 20:19). What trauma. Hopes dashed. Guilt for abandoning Jesus. Confusion. The disciples sat with their strong emotions. There was nothing left to do except join a dead messiah support group or find a new messiah. Remember, no one was saying, “Don’t worry! Something great is going to happen on Sunday. I can not wait!”

Silent Saturdays are hard.
Life is hard and exhausting.
Pain is real and struggles linger.
All hope can seem lost.

Silent Saturday reminds us to press on. Jesus is at work even when you can not see him. Most importantly, we remember Sunday is coming!

It Is Finished!
GOOD FRIDAY
He was pierced for our transgressions.
He was crushed for our iniquities.
Not for anything He did…
but for everything we’ve done.
Every sin.
Every regret.
Every moment we wish we could take back…
It was all laid on Him.
The nails didn’t just pierce His hands—
they pierced our guilt,
our shame,
our separation from God.
And still… He stayed.
Not because He had to—
but because He chose to.
Because of love.
“The punishment that brought us peace was on Him,
and by His wounds we are healed.”
— Isaiah 53:5
This is the meaning of Good Friday:
You don’t have to carry
what He already paid for.
————————————
It’s Friday…
but Sunday is coming.

Trust in God!
Nowhere in the Bible are we commanded to figure everything out on our own.
We are never told to carry the weight of tomorrow…decode every outcome…or secure our own future. That burden was never ours. We are commanded to trust GOD.
Pride says, “I need to understand before I obey.”
Faith says, “GOD understands, and that is enough.”
Trying to control what only GOD governs is not strength—it is unbelief. It exposes a heart that would rather rely on self than rest in the sovereignty of the One who ordains all things for His glory and for the good of His people.
We are not called to self-sufficiency. We are called to dependence.
Trusting GOD is not passive…
It is surrender.
It is obedience when the path is unclear.
It is peace when circumstances are unstable.
It is humility that confesses, “I am not sovereign—GOD is.”
Stop striving to be what only GOD can be…TRUST HIM!

Repetitive thoughts shape both the mind and the life. Neuroscience confirms what Scripture has always declared: “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” What you dwell on becomes what you believe, and what you believe shapes the life you live. Discover why willpower alone is not enough to overcome the battle for change—and how true transformation can renew your mind and change your life forever.

LIVING FREE FROM ANXIETY IS ALL ABOUT TRUST

Do you believe God is able?
Do you believe He loves you and cares about you?
Do you trust Him to work in and through the circumstances you are facing to do what's best for you?

Your answer is found in the cross....the place where God proved once and for all that He loves you unconditionally.

The cross is the place where He demonstrated He is able to take any situation and bring through it what is good for us….and what brings glory to His name! ❤️

Dwell on the cross.
Dig down beneath your anxiety.
Look up to your Shepherd.
Give your worries to Him.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”
Philippians 4:6-8

Lamp unto My Feet...

The mind is a battlefield.
Not with noise you can hear…but with whispers you can feel.

“You’re not enough.”
“You’ll never change.”
“God forgot you.”
“It’s too late.”

The enemy rarely shouts. He suggests.
But Scripture doesn’t suggest. It declares!🔥

When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, He didn’t argue. He didn’t debate. He answered every lie with “It is written…”

The Word of God is not decoration for your coffee table.
It is nourishment for your spirit.
It is a sword for your battles.
It is light for your dark thoughts.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Psalm 119:105

You cannot stop every thought from knocking at your door.
But you can decide who gets to stay.

If you fill your mind with fear…doubt grows.
If you fill your mind with offense…bitterness blooms.
But if you fill your mind with God’s Word…truth takes root…and lies suffocate.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Romans 12:2

Renewing your mind is not a one-time event.
It’s daily bread.
It’s choosing Scripture over scrolling.
Worship over worry.
Truth over trends.

Father, guard my mind.
Expose every lie I’ve believed.
Replace it with Your truth.
Teach me to love Your Word more than my own opinions.
Fill my thoughts so full of You that fear has no vacancy.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
