Passing the Baton

Today was a historic day in the history of Crosswalk Church of Daytona Beach. For over 23 years, since January of 2003, Pastor Mitch Pridgen has faithfully served Crosswalk as its founding pastor and lead teaching elder. His faithful shepherding and humble ministry has impacted the lives of countless families and individuals for Christ as he’s tended Christ’s flock with precision and care.

Today, with a record attendance of over 160 people present, Pastor Mitch passed the baton of senior pastoral leadership to Pastor Chris Johnson. Chris has served Crosswalk since its inception in various capacities including as an elder and associate pastor since 2011.

Dr. Lance Quinn led today’s special service by preaching Chris’s installation as he preached from Jeremiah, with a special focus on Jeremiah 3:15. His focus was a call to Feed & Lead God’s People.

Following, Dr. Quinn’s message, Pastor Mitch issued a powerful pastoral charge to Pastor Chris to both feed and lead God’s people with the heart and love of Christ Jesus, the Great Shepherd!

We praise God for His Providence and trust Him to continue to bless the ministry of Crosswalk Church for many years to come. Thank you to the precious members of Crosswalk Church and the incredible gathering of friends and family who came together to make this a most special and memorable day. Soli Deo Gloria!
