Please consider volunteering at Mission of Mary Cooperative as they enter into the spring season.

Spring volunteer tasks are likely to be things like:

Low intensity - light work, ideal for children and those with limited strength or range of movement. Seeding trays, picking up trash, and transplanting seedlings to pots.

Moderate intensity - farm cleanup, removing dead plant matter, transplanting seedlings into beds, and weeding beds.

High intensity - more physically demanding tasks such as removing tarps, carrying rock bags, breaking the ground with a broadfork, spreading mulch or woodchips, clearing planting beds, transforming grassy areas into pollinator gardens, and building and installing Backyard Gardens for neighbors

The minimum time commitment for new volunteers is two consecutive hours, but they're happy to have folks around all day or anywhere in between. The most important volunteers are those who return regularly, increasing their capabilities and privileges as they learn more about our farming operations.

Spring volunteer hours are 8:30am-4pm M-th and 8:30am-12pm Fridays with occasional Saturday opportunities 9am-12pm, twice per month for groups of ten or more.

If you'd like to volunteer, please contact [email protected], or sign-up on their website: https://www.missionofmary.org/volunteersignup.
